What to see in Oman

Ras al Hadd

Tourist attractions Ras al Hadd

Ras al Hadd is a small village situated on the coast, but it’s appeal can be found on it’s paradise beaches which are popular breeding grounds for green sea turtles. Visitors to the village often camp out on the beaches at night between the months of June and October for the perfect vantage point to watch hatching sea turtles from afar.

The area does have a few resorts, hotels and restaurants and also has an impressively well preserved castle fortress but the real appeal lies in the remote beaches that seem to go on for miles, the turquoise lagoons and the tranquil atmosphere which makes it the perfect place to unwind and to get in touch with nature.
