What to see in Norway
Telemark
Tourist attractions Telemark
Situated in the south of Norway, this is a region famed for its varied landscapes, offering a direct contact with nature. Telemark has a beautiful coast, spotted with millions of islets and reefs. The island of Jomfruland, situated in front of the city of Kragerø, is very special. Jomfruland forms part of a moraine which runs from the Baltic sea, through Sweden and along the Norwegian coast. The calm weather and exuberant vegetation attract a great many birds. What's more, there are many museums in Telemark where you can learn more about the culture and history of the area. Finally, don't forget to visit the largest water park in Norway and one of the biggest in Europe, BøSommarland, where you can surf some of the largest artificial waves in the world and ride the biggest water coaster in the country.
