    Tequila, most known for the production of the spirit of the same name, is a town in Mexico’s western state of Jalisco. The infamous drink is made from the native blue agave plant, found near the foot of the Tequila Volcano. The popularity of this liquor and the history behind it have given the area the status of World Heritage Site. The Mexican Federal Government named the town ‘Pueblo Mágico’ (Magic Town) in its honor.
