Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a fascinating tour of Bangkok's temples. Head to Yaowarat Road, in Chinatown, to visit the magical Wat Traimit temple, which houses the largest solid gold Buddha in the world, almost five meters high and an amazing five and a half tons in weight. Continue to Wat Pho, the largest temple in Bangkok where the famous Reclining Buddha is kept. After admiring the sheer size of the temple, continue to the astounding Wat Benchamabophit or The Marble Temple, a Buddhist sanctuary carved from white Italian marble in the 18th century, with elegant and intricate designs. Finally, enjoy a visit to the State Factory of Precious Stones, for the opportunity to buy local jewellery, crafts, and silks. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

* Optional Half-Day Tour of the Royal Grand Palace and Canals of Bangkok: Travel by motorized boat down the Chao Phraya River to see the family homes and temples along the banks of Bangkok's canals. Stop at Wat Arun, one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks and the most famous of the city's more than 400 Buddhist temples and monasteries. Next, discover the Royal Grand Palace complex that includes Wat Phra Keow, home to the legendary Emerald Buddha, carved from a single piece of solid translucent jade.
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Ayutthaya today, the ancient capital of Thailand, home to impressive temples and historic sights. Visit the temples of Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Phanan Choeng, and Wat Mahathat, the former of which is nestled amongst giant tree roots. Afterwards, climb aboard a traditional long-tail boat to explore the waterways, observing the ruins of ancient Ayutthaya from a different perspective. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Kamphaeng Phet, once an ancient outpost town during the Sukhothai period. Overnight stay in Kamphaeng Phet.
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Lampang today, to visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. This Lanna-style temple occupies a prominent position on a hill surrounded by imposing walls. Climb the Naga staircase and explore the complex, home to several beautiful structures and a sacred tree. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch before continuing towards beautiful Chiang Mai, known as the 'Rose of the North'. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free to get to know this vibrant city, known for the cultural delights of its old town. Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a memorable visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of the most revered temples in the country. This sacred place is located on top of a mountain from where you can enjoy impressive panoramic views of the city. To reach the temple you can either climb a Naga staircase of 309 steps or use the cable car (included). After the visit, head to San Kamphaeng Road, a 10 km long street flanked by shops selling locally produced products such as ceramics, silverware, sculptures, jewellery, wood carvings and silk products. After lunch, return to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.
Breakfast at the hotel. Say goodbye to charming Chiang Mai as you set off for Lamphung, home to one of the most important temples in the north, Wat Phra That Hariphunchai. Visit this thousand-year-old temple admiring the statues of Buddha and its impressive stupas. Stop for lunch before taking to the road again, as you head south to Sukhothai Historical Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to more than 200 historic buildings dating back to the days of the Sukhothai Kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries. After exploring this captivating sight, filled with both religious and cultural structures, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Sukhothai.
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Sukhothai as you head to Lopburi, a historic city famous for the troops of macaque monkeys that freely roam the streets. On arrival, visit the ruins of the ancient Khmer temple of Phra Prang Sam Yot and the Brahman shrine of San Phra Kan, known as the 'Temple of the Monkeys'. Stop for lunch en route as you head back to the capital this afternoon. Arrive in Bangkok and enjoy your final evening in Thailand at your leisure, tucking into your favourite traditional Thai dishes, doing some last-minute souvenir shopping or sightseeing. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

The largest Thai island, this beautiful paradise is nestled in the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea.
