Itinerary

Travel to the home of the tango and get to know the elegant neighbourhoods and exquisite gastronomy of Buenos Aires. Fall in love with nature at the Iguazu Falls, where the powerful waterfalls captivate your senses. Discover Patagonia in El Calafate and visit the famous Perito Moreno located in this land of glaciers and spectacular landscapes.

1st Day: UK/Ireland - Night on board

Arrival at yor departure airport ready to check-in for a flight to Buenos Aires. Night on board. 

Important: If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

2nd Day: Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires, a sprawling city, full of colonial architecture and vibrant culture. Transfer to the hotel and spend the day getting to know this exciting city at your leisure. Overnight stay in Buenos Aires.

3rd Day: Buenos Aires

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day on an included tour exploring the charming corners of the city. The city is known as the birthplace of the Tango. Explore the contrasting neighbourhoods: the colourful houses of La Boca, the culture of La Recoleta, the old town, San Telmo or the young, vibrant neighbourhood of Puerto Madero. 4th Day: Bunos Aires - Calafate

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to El Calafate, a town near the edge of the unique region of Southern Patagonia, and home to the huge Perito Moreno glacier. Arrive, transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring the town and sampling the unique cuisine on offer in this other-worldly region of Argentina! Overnight stay in Calafate.

*Optional Dinner at Asador La Tablita: La Tablita, a Patagonian tradition since 1968, is a restaurant of encounter, tradition and innovation where you can taste the delights of Argentina. A few blocks from the commercial centre of El Calafate, you can enjoy a varied menu of authentic dishes.

5th Day: El Calafate

Breakfast at the hotel. Journey to Perito Moreno, the most famous glacier in the world. On arrival, enjoy an included tour at Los Glaciares National Park to view Lake Argentino, Argentina´s biggest freshwater lake and visit 'the curve of sighs.' From here it is possible to contemplate El Perito Moreno. Stroll along the walkways in front of the glacier to see this spectacular ice mass from different perspectives. Overnight in El Calafate.

NOTE: Although there is a bar in the park, we recommend bringing a box lunch on excursions to avoid wasting valuable time in the park (you can request it at your hotel one day in advance, at an additional cost).

6th Day: El Calafate

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure, exploring the surroundings at your own pace or simply relaxing and enjoying the facilities of your hotel. You'll be captivated by the landscapes of this abundant region. If you want to know more about the glaciers, head to the Glaciarium Patagonian Ice Museum! Alternatively, we recommend an optional Glacier Cruise or an excursion to a traditional Estancia.* Overnight stay in El Calafate.

*Optional Glacier Cruise: Begin with a navigation along the North Arm of Lake Argentino. After crossing the Boca del Diablo towards the Upsala Channel, arrive at the Spegazzini Base where you can enjoy the incomparable views of Glacier Bay and explore on foot.

*Optional Estancia 25 de Mayo Excursion: The Quincho Asador Parrilla, located in the centre of La Estancia 25 de Mayo, is the perfect place to experience authentic Argentian culture! Relax and contemplate the landscapes at the foot of the Cerro Calafate.

7th Day: El Calafate - Iguazú

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Patagonia behind as you transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Iguazu, home to one of the most astounding waterfall systems in the world! Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Once settled, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. If your arrival time allows, we suggest exploring the local nature trails through the rainforest or simply relaxing in the pristine natural surroundings! Overnight stay in Iguazu.

8th Day: Iguazú Falls

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day tour on the Argentinian side of the Iguazu Falls. Discover one of the greatest creations of Mother Nature from the green train which transports you to two trails. Start on the upper trail following 800 metres of suspended walkways and a view of the falls from above. Then continue to the lower trail and discover the suspended footbridges alongside the falls. We suggest our optional excursion which will take you on a boat right under the waterfalls to get an up-close perspective of the falls.* Overnight in Iguazu.

NOTE: National Park entrance fees are not included.

* Optional Excursion Iguazu Great Adventure: Enter the jungle by the Yacaratiá trail in trucks specially designed for this environment. This 5 kms long stretch ends at Puerto Macuco. At its dock, board a boat that sails in the Lower Iguazu River for as long as 6 kms, heading towards the waterfalls area, enjoying plentiful rapids. Upon reaching the Tres Mosqueteros Fall, see the falls of both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides crowned by the view of the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). Afterwards, the most exciting point comes when facing the incomparable San Martín waterfall, the second in dimension and the hugest any boat may face. If you choose to take the optional, it will replace a part of the included tour on this day.
