3rd Day: Hanoi
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you’ll learn more about Hanoi’s history and get a slice of local life through several stops throughout the city. Start with the Temple of Literature, an early university founded back in 1070 AD. Take a walking tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where the street names refer to expert artisans who used to sell their wares here. Stop at a local market where you can enjoy a coffee or tea while taking a midday break.
Stop for photo ops at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh House on Stilts, the Governor’s Palace, and the One Pillar Pagoda. End your day of exploring with a visit to the Hoa Lo Prison, originally built by the French and later referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton” by American prisoners of war. On Arrival: If for any reason you were unable to process the visa online don’t worry, you will be able to obtain a visa at the Cambodian border on arrival, in this case we recommend that you bring a ‘passport' photo (35 x 45 mm) with you and $36 USD for the tax payment.
While Cambodian Visa can also be purchased at destination, VIETNAM VISA MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE TO BE ABLE TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. (Needed for Irish passport holders)
Tipping in Vietnam is up to your personal discretion but it is commonplace for service providers to ask for it. In these cases, please keep in mind that the usual tipping standard is around 4$/person/day for guides, and half of that for drivers and hotel staff.
New requirement to enter Thailand – starting May 1, 2025
Starting on this date, all foreign travellers must complete the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at least 3 days before their arrival. Review the requirements and complete the form at: http://tdac.immigration.go.th
*Documentation of the internal flights will either be available in the "My bookings" section in your "Customer Area" 14 days before your trip or delivered to you on arrival at your destination. It is essential to fill in the passport information correctly for each passenger in the given boxes at the end of the reservations process.

- Vietnam Airlines baggage policy: 1 checked bag of 23kg and 1 hand baggage of 12kg per person.
