
Tourist attractions Stone Town
This town of stone is the capital of the Zanzibar archipelago, the three semi-autonomous islands belonging to Tanzania. Located on the west coast of Zanzibar island, it is deeply entrenched in Swahili culture and earned recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000. It is also known as being the birthplace of the Queen vocalist, Freddie Mercury, whose childhood home is in one of the main tourist attractions for visitors to Stone Town. This city is full of markets and fish stalls, as well as different architectural styles that correspond to its various historical chapters.
