3rd Day: Quito - Tena

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, take a guided Quito city tour to get to know the capital's most emblematic sights. Admire the colonial-era architecture and picturesque plazas. Stroll through the narrow streets of the city center and visit a local market where your guide will introduce you to local produce.

In the afternoon leave Quito behind as you set off into the Ecuadorian highlands and down into the rainforest, headed for Punta Ahuano in the Amazon. Continue through verdant landscapes towards the lodge, in the heart of the jungle. Arrive in time to behold the extraordinary sunset and enjoy a welcome cocktail on arrival. 5th Day: Tena – Papallacta – Quito

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning take a moment to appreciate your last few moments in the Amazon Rainforest as it’s time to head back to Quito. During your return journey through the mountains, stop at the serene Papallacta Hot Springs, where you can bathe to relax and reflect on your adventure so far.

Continue your journey to the capital city and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to do some souvenir shopping for example or try some delicious food in the gastronomic neighborhood of La Floresta. Overnight stay in Quito.

6th Day: Quito - San Cristóbal (Galapagos)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the airport this morning for a flight to the Galapagos Islands, a true wonder of nature known for its immense biodiversity. San Cristobal is home to a rich array of unique wildlife and the first island that Charles Darwin explored.

Meet your guide on arrival, who will take you to the cruise ship! After lunch on board, your guide will give you a brief overview of the afternoon’s activities. Your first excursion is the San Cristobal Interpretation Center, in the small town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Walk to "La Colina de las Fragatas", a hill visited by frigate birds that nest there at certain times of year. From the hill, descend to the small inlet known as Punta Carola, to find a colony of sea lions. Dinner and overnight aboard.

7th Day: Isla Española (Galapagos)

Breakfast onboard. In the morning visit Punta Suarez, a destination of great interest due to the abundant bird life. This island has endemic animal species, such as the spanish mockingbird, spanish lava lizard, marine iguanas, tropical birds, the waved albatross, blue-footed boobies and many others.

In the afternoon you will visit Gardner Bay, which has a beautiful beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Observe a large colony of playful sea lions, and if you're lucky, you may even observe Galapagos hawks. You will be sure to see Darwin's finches, mockingbirds and sea turtles. Lunch, dinner and overnight aboard.

8th Day: Isla Floreana (Galapagos)

Breakfast onboard. In the morning visit Punta Cormorant, the best lagoon to observe flamingos in the Galapagos. Discover both the "green beach" and the "flour sand beach", which are two of the most interesting due to their fascinating colors. Return to the ship to enjoy a snorkeling activity in a place known as Devil's Crown.

In the afternoon, visit "Post Office" Bay: it historically served as a letter exchange station through a wooden barrel, placed by the crew of a whaling ship in the 18th century. Next, visit the "Asilo de la Paz", known for its peculiar history as one of the first occupied spaces on the islands by a German family. Finally, return to the ship and begin navigating toward Puerto Ayora, the largest city in Galapagos. Lunch, dinner and overnight onboard.

9th Day: Santa Cruz (Galapagos) - Quito

After breakfast, visit the Fausto Llerena Interpretation Center to observe different species of land turtles of all different sizes, before heading to the airport.

Transfer to the Itabaca Channel where you’ll take the local ferry and shuttle to Baltra Island Airport. Sadly, it’s time to end your exciting adventure through the natural wonder of the Galapagos Islands. Take your flight back to Quito, and take a shared shuttle service to your hotel located near the airport.

At the airport Galapagos passengers must present their transit control card (TCC) with their passport and pay the entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park. Cost: US$100 per person until July 31, 2024, and from August 1, 2024 US$200 for adults and US$100 for children.
