    Our most complete experience touring the spectacular country of Spain, stopping by its most emblematic cities. Start by getting to know the modernist architecture of Barcelona then make your way to beautiful Bilbao in the Basque Country before visiting Madrid. From here, make your way to the south to unearth Cordoba’s Mezquita, romantic Seville and Granada’s Alhambra.

    1st Day: Canada - Night on board

    Ready to explore the historic cities and vibrant culture of Spain on this adventure of a lifetime? Arrive at your Canada departure airport, ready for a flight* to Barcelona. Night on board.

    *If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

    2nd Day: Barcelona

    Touch down in Barcelona, one of Spain’s most important cities known for its fast-paced atmosphere, modernist architecture and beautiful plazas and beaches. Self-transfer to the hotel* for check-in and spend the rest of the day exploring at your own pace. Barcelona is a vibrant city known for its artistic heritage and the amazing architecture of Gaudi.

    We recommend you get to know the historic streets of the Gothic Quarter or stroll along the seafront in the old fishing neighborhood of Barceloneta, where you can stop by one of the many bars and restaurants this part of the city has to offer. Overnight stay in Barcelona.

    3rd Day: Barcelona

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take part in a guided tour of Barcelona to acquaint yourself with the city’s most spectacular sights. Start your tour by visiting the main avenues with its impressive modernist buildings by Gaudi and contemplate its most emblematic works: Casa Mila, La Pedrera and Casa Batllo, declared World Heritage buildings.

    After, stroll through the iconic Montjuic Park with spectacular views of both the city and the port. Other stops in your tour include: the Olympic Ring, the Columbus Monument and a visit to the Gothic Quarter and its historic center.

    Following the tour, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Why not take a stroll down Las Ramblas and stop by one of the many restaurants offering delicious Spanish classics. Otherwise, we recommend some shopping therapy in Passeig de Gracia; a must for the sartorially inclined. Overnight stay in Barcelona.

    4th Day: Barcelona - Zaragoza - Bilbao

    Breakfast at the hotel. Say goodbye to Barcelona and make your way towards the north of the country. En route, you will stop by Zaragoza where you will have free time at leisure to get acquainted with the folklore and local cuisine of this city. We suggest you also use this time to visit some of its most emblematic sites, such as the Basílica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Aljafería Palace. 

    After this, continue your journey northwards until you reach the city of Bilbao in the Basque Country. Arrive at your hotel for check-in and overnight stay in Bilbao.

    5th Day: Bilbao - San Sebastián - Bilbao

    Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, take part in a guided tour of Bilbao where you will acquaint yourself with the city’s most emblematic sites. Particularly, you will spend some time exploring the esplanade where the Guggenheim Museum is located, arguably the most visited site of this region. 

    From here, you will make your way to tourist-favorite, San Sebastian, considered by many the greatest gastronomic destination in the entire country. It is also known for having the most Michelin stars per capita in all of Europe! Enjoy some free time at your leisure and treat your tastebuds to an explosion of flavors as you stop by one of the many cafés, bars and/or restaurants of the city. Return to Bilbao for an overnight stay.

    6th Day: Bilbao - Burgos - Madrid

    Breakfast at the hotel. Depart the Basque Country and make your way to the very center of the country. En route, you will stop by Burgos, a charming city that has preserved major signs of its medieval past. You will have time at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

    Why not visit its most emblematic attraction, the stunning Gothic-style cathedral, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also recommend you visit the 9th century Burgos Castle for an incredible panoramic view of the entire city. After this, continue your journey to the center of Spain until you reach its capital, Madrid. Arrive at your hotel for check-in and overnight stay in Madrid.

    7th Day: Madrid

    Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, take part in a guided tour of Madrid where you will familiarize yourself with the very best sites of this city. Begin your tour visiting the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban layout of Charles III. Continue on towards the Royal Palace, the Cibeles and Neptune Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. 

    From here, you will continue your journey admiring the Paseo del Arte before acquainting yourself with the more modern part of the city, including the iconic Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca neighborhood, Oeste park, the shopping and financial districts of the city. Finally, you will get to know the Plaza de toros de las Ventas, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. 

    In the afternoon, enjoy the city at your leisure. Why not soak up a little culture at the incredible Prado Museum? For an afternoon stroll, we recommend El Retiro Park, home to a beautiful boating lake, stone fountains and the elegant Crystal Palace. Madrid is well-known for its brilliant gastronomic scene and lively nightlife, so be sure to get out after dark to experience the amazing atmosphere of the capital. Overnight stay in Madrid.

    8th Day: Madrid - Córdoba - Sevilla

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will make your way to Cordoba, a historically significant city in the southern region of Andalusia. Take part in a guided tour of the city where you will get to unearth its historic old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, full of little streets to be explored, courtyards full of flowers, inviting squares and lively taverns.

    The highlight of the tour includes a visit to La Mezquita, one of the biggests mosques in the world dating back to 784 A.D., featuring a columned prayer hall and older Byzantine mosaics. It became a Catholic cathedral in 1236. Later, visit the Jewish Quarter of the city. 

    Continue your journey until you reach Seville. Once you have arrived at your destination, check-in to your hotel and overnight stay in Seville.

    10th Day: Sevilla - Granada

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today, make your way to Granada, known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating back to the Moorish occupation. Upon arrival, take part in a visit to the world-famous Alhambra, the crown jewel of Granada, perched high atop a hill in the very center of the city.

    This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Spain’s most visited attractions. In addition to access to the Alhambra, you will also get to visit the Generalife Gardens, fountains and patios which have inspired authors such as W. Irving’s ‘Tales of the Alhambra’. 

    The rest of the day is yours to spend as you see fit. Why not take this time to do some souvenir shopping at the famous Alcaicería Market or take some time to wind down and treat yourself to one of the Turkish bathhouses the city has to offer. Overnight stay in Granada.
