Experience the natural beauty and incredible history of Peru and Bolivia on an unforgettable two-country tour. Touch down in Lima before exploring the Sacred Valley and legendary Machu Picchu! Get to know Cuzco and discover the charms of Lake Titicaca before heading to vibrant La Paz! Next, the endless salt flats of Uyuni await, one of the most incredible landscapes on earth!
It's time to set off on an unforgettable adventure through Peru and Bolivia! Head to your departure airport, ready to catch a flight to Lima. Night on board.
* If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
Touch down in Lima, the capital of Peru and situated on the Pacific Coast. Transfer to the hotel, and (depending on your arrival time) spend the rest of the day exploring the city's colonial streets and magical plazas at your leisure. Overnight stay in Lima.
If you want to have the hotel room available before 2:00 p.m., you can add early check-in at an additional cost. In case you are interested, you will be able to see the price and do the upsell in the next step of the purchase process.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a half-day city tour of Lima, to discover both the colonial-era and modern parts of the capital. Start by exploring the district of Miraflores, passing through an ancient pre-Inca sacred site. Next, explore the neighborhoods of San Isidro, Lince and Cercado before heading to the Historic Center to see the Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Museum of Italian Art, French Palace and Plaza San Martin. Continue on foot as you discover the charms of Plaza de Armas to admire the exquisite colonial architecture that surrounds it including the Cathedral of Lima, the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace and the Archbishop's Palace. Spend some free time taking photos before returning to Miraflores to visit Parque del Amor, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Peruvian coastline and the Pacific Ocean. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure, with the option to visit the famous Magic Water Fountain Complex!* Overnight stay in Lima.
*Optional Half-Day Magic Water Complex Excursion: Visit the Magic Water Circuit, the largest fountain complex in the world! Home to 13 individual fountains, see the enormous Magic Fountain, which launches jets of water 80 meters into the air, explore the Tunnel of Surprises and Children's Fountain and discover the Dream Labyrinth Fountain, a maze formed by walls of water.
Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Cuzco. Arrive in Cuzco, the former Inca capital, and transfer to the Sacred Valley, on the way stop at Museo Sulca, a textile exhibition center where you can admire various fabrics and ceramics inspired by Pre-Inca and Inca cultures. Here, you can see the funerary blankets of Paracas, as well as exact replicas of the Khipus, Tocapus and Inca Ceramics from Chancay and Nazca. Continue to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.
Breakfast at the hotel. An exciting day at Machu Picchu awaits you this morning as you set off for Ollantaytambo train station to board the Expedition or Voyager Train to Aguas Calientes, admiring the landscapes along the way. Arrive and transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu*, one of the 7 Wonders of the World! Spend some time discovering the ruins on a guided tour and be amazed by the terraces, views of the surrounding Andes mountains and the mystery and history behind this incredible site. After taking some final photos, return to Aguas Calientes to catch an afternoon train back to the Ollantaytambo. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off towards Cuzco, with the opportunity to enjoy optional Sacred Valley excursions along the way, to experience the best of the region.* Arrive in Cuzco and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, enjoying the lively plazas at night. Overnight stay in Cuzco.
*Optional Essence of the Sacred Valley Excursion: Visit Chinchero and the PARWA Centre, to appreciate the colourful traditional textiles. Next, visit the church of Chinchero before heading to the Racchi panoramic viewpoint for a fantastic view across the valley. Explore Ollantaytambo and its Inca fortress. Price per person with lunch and 'Boleto Turisitco' included granting entrance to the Sacred Valley and surrounding sights.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, set off on a fascinating half-day tour of Cuzco. Begin in the iconic Plaza de Armas, and visit the Cathedral. From here, walk to the Koricancha Temple, an impressive ancient Inca palace, in honour of the Sun God. Today, a Dominican church stands on the site. Finally, visit the lively San Blas neighbourhood, known for its artists, shops and artisan workshops.
*Optional Cuzco Photography Workshop: Move away from the tourist route to discover the real Cuzco with this unique photography workshop. Using either your mobile device or camera, follow a professional photographer around the city to learn how to capture the essence of Cuzco in unique and exciting ways! This excursion is a fun and hands-on way to discover the hidden corners of Cuzco.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cuzco bus station to catch the bus to Puno. Leave the station and start your journey on the bus to Puno and enjoy the marvellous landscapes of the South Valley of Cuzco. Discover Andahuaylas, a beautiful 17th-century church, featuring an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. Continue on the road and visit the ruins of Racqui, also known as the ´Temple of the God Wiracocha. After lunch, discover La Raya, the highest point on the highway between Cuzco and Puno for amazing views of the landscape. Visit the historic town of Pucara, once an important centre of the Inca civilisation. Arrive in Puno, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Puno.
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off on an unforgettable full-day excursion to the islands of Lake Titicaca with lunch box included. Depart by boat to Taquile Island, which dates back to pre-Inca times. The Islanders are famous for their beautiful clothing, their incredible knits and their thriving textile industry. Skilled craftsmen, these communities are dedicated to keeping their traditions alive. Next, visit the floating island of Uros situated in the middle of Lake Titicaca and built with layers of totora reeds. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Puno.
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, catch the bus to Copacabana, crossing the border into Bolivia. Arrive in this beautiful lake-side village, a colorful place bursting with traditional culture and fascinating architecture, and self-transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore the delights of Copacabana at your leisure. Visit its 16th-century Basilica, admire the charms of Copacabana village or hike to the top of Calvary Hill for exceptional views of Lake Titicaca. Overnight stay in Copacabana.
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a half-day excursion to Isla del Sol. Navigate the tranquil waters of Lake Titicaca as you travel 90-minutes by boat to Isla del Sol. This island is home to indigenous people of Quechua origin and is considered a place of sacred significance to the Inca people. Climb the famous 500 Inca stairs to visit the incredible Pilkokaine archaeological site as you follow in the footsteps of the ancient Incas and learn more about their traditions and way of life. After exploring Isla del Sol, return to Copacabana. In the afternoon transfer to the bus station to catch a bus to La Paz, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. Arrive in the capital and transfer to the hotel. The highest capital city in the world, La Paz is situated at an altitude of 3640 meters above sea level! Surrounded by the towering mountains of the altiplano, La Paz is a place of buzzing street markets, excellent museums and colorful architecture. If time allows, the evening is free to soak up the ambience of the city's plazas and indulge in authentic Bolivian cuisine. Overnight stay in La Paz.
Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for the airport to catch a flight to Uyuni, home of the incredible Uyuni Salt Flats! Arrive in the small town of Uyuni and transfer to your hotel. Once an important railroad junction, today Uyuni is better known as the gateway to the largest and most beautiful salt flats on earth! After your journey, enjoy a relaxing evening at your leisure. Alternatively, experience the splendour of the Uyuni Salt Flats on an optional stargazing tour.* Overnight stay in Uyuni.
*Optional Uyuni Salt Flats Stargazing Tour: Transfer to the salt flats to observe the sky in all its glory with the stars and the Milky Way in one of the darkest places on earth. Enjoy an intimate encounter with nature in a very special atmosphere and see the reflection of the stars in the salt mirror; a perfect opportunity to take wonderful photos.
An exciting day awaits! After breakfast at the hotel, set off to the incredible Uyuni Salt Flats, a true natural wonder and highlight of any trip to Bolivia! Firstly, pay a visit to the Train Cemetery, a relic of an abandoned 19th-century project to expand the Uyuni train network. Next, continue to Colchani, where you can observe salt processing and extraction and the Palacio de Sal Hotel, the first hotel in the world made entirely from salt! Continue your adventure at Incahuasi Island, a unique and isolated ecosystem populated by giant cacti that measure up to 10 meters high. Next, enjoy lunch in the middle of the salt flats before watching the sunset with a glass of wine, an experience not to be forgotten! As the day draws to a close, head to the bus station to catch an overnight bus to La Paz. Night on board.
Please note: It is possible to visit year-round, however, during rainy season (November to March) the salt flats might flood and you will not be able to visit Incahuasi Island. During this season, the salt flat becomes the world's biggest mirror when a layer of water sits on top of the salt desert's crust.
Arrive in La Paz this morning and spend a day at your leisure enjoying the delights of this wonderful city. Explore the local markets, find inspiration in the city's museums or go shopping for last-minute souvenirs. Alternatively, we recommend an optional city tour or an exciting excursion to the famous Moon Valley!* Overnight stay in La Paz.

*Optional Half-Day La Paz Like A Local City Tour: Meet your guide at the hotel and head to the cable car station to enjoy spectacular views of the northern and central parts of the city. Disembark the cable car and enjoy a guided walk through the city's most colourful streets and markets. Visit the Musical Instruments Museum and taste an authentic Bolivian empanada at Plaza Murillo before heading to the famous Witches Market to see an array of traditional Andean products known for their medicinal properties.
*Optional Moon Valley Excursion: Discover a treasure of nature as you leave the city and head for the otherworldly landscapes of Moon Valley. With a lunar-like appearance, visit this incredible place, full of craters, rock formations and pinnacles. From here, enjoy spectacular views of the Andes as you explore the walking paths and marvel at the unique geology.
Breakfast at the hotel. After a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through Peru and Bolivia, it's time to head home. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to catch a flight back to Canada.
