Itinerary
Set off on a Full-Board Danube River Cruise to uncover the historic cities and timeless landscapes of Central Europe. Begin in Vienna, bursting with artistic legacy. Explore the medieval charms of Dürnstein and Melk in the Wachau Valley and fall in love with the atmosphere of Bratislava. Enjoy the contrasts of Budapest, a city of two halves and be amazed by Esztergom's legendary Basilica!
It's time to discover the cities and scenery of the River Danube, a natural treasure of Central Europe! At the indicated time, arrive at your Canada departure airport to catch a flight to the Austrian capital of Vienna.* Night on board.
* If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
Touch down in Vienna and self-transfer* to the river port. Enjoy some time at your leisure to discover the atmosphere of the historic Austrian capital and perhaps indulge in its famous coffee culture.
Once you have boarded the ship, take some time to settle into your cabin. Get to know your fellow cruisers during a welcome cocktail reception before dinner on board. Overnight stay on board in Vienna.

Full-board on board. After breakfast, you have the chance to join an optional panoramic tour of the most important sights of the Austrian capital!
See the most emblematic buildings in Vienna, including the Opera House, the City Hall, the Parliament, the Burgtheater and the splendid Hofburg Imperial Palace.* In the afternoon, enjoy the city at your leisure, getting to know its elegant streets or taking a stroll along the riverside.
If you opted for the excursions package, you'll spend the afternoon visiting the marvellous Schonbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg rulers.
Return to the ship and, around midnight, leave the Austrian capital behind as you set sail in the direction of the Wachau Valley. Overnight on board.

Full-board on board. Awake this morning in the small town of Melk in the heart of the Wachau Valley. Take some time to explore its picturesque streets. Back on board, continue to charming Dürnstein, famed for its enchanting medieval castle.
Disembark the ship and begin exploring the historic city centre on foot, passing through the medieval city gates headed towards Pranger Square. Enjoy a beautiful view over the ruins of Dürnstein Castle, famed as the location where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned.
Spend the rest of the afternoon discovering the delights of this Wachau Valley town at your leisure until boarding the ship and spending the remainder of the day admiring the landscapes of the Wachau Valley as you continue towards Budapest. Overnight stay on board.

Full-board on board. Arrive in Budapest this evening, the capital of Hungary and a city of two halves. Budapest is divided by the mighty Danube into the old town of 'Buda' and the more modern and cosmopolitan 'Pest'.
Enjoy an evening stroll through the city, as the river and its bridges are illuminated. Enjoy the evening at your leisure discovering the flavours of Hungarian cuisine or enjoying the capital's excellent nightlife. Overnight stay on board.

Spend the evening relaxing at your leisure as the ship continues its journey along the Danube, departing for Esztergom in the early hours. Overnight stay on board.

Full-board on board. Arrive in the fascinating Hungarian city of Esztergom this morning. The first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, it's famous as the place where the first King, Stephen I, was crowned in the year 1000.
Explore historic Esztergom at your leisure and don't miss the city's Basilica, the largest church in Hungary and home to the largest organ in the country!
Return to the ship in time for lunch and set sail for the final leg of your journey along the eternal Danube, navigating towards the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Overnight stay on board.

Full-board on board. As dawn breaks, the ship arrives in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Disembark and spend the morning getting to know the charms of the city's 18th-century old town at your own pace.
If you have opted for the Excursions Package, set off on a guided tour to discover the best of this imperial city, including the National Theater, the striking St. Michael's Cathedral, Michael's Gate and the hilltop Bratislava Castle.
In the afternoon, return to the ship and continue your course along the breathtaking River Danube back towards Vienna. It's time to get dressed up this evening as you're invited to the much-anticipated Captain's Dinner! Overnight stay on board.
