Meet your local guide and set off on a fascinating guided tour of Quito. Explore the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site valued for its great beauty and colonial-era architecture. After wandering through Quito's most emblematic streets, head to a traditional market to discover a little more about Andean culture and sample a variety of tropical fruits grown locally in Ecuador. Back at the hotel, spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps indulging in the capital's sophisticated restaurant scene and nightlife. Breakfast at the hotel. Leave the Ecuadorian mainland behind this morning as you meet your English-speaking guide and transfer to the airport for a flight to San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands. The easternmost Galapagos Island, San Cristobal is famed as the first island visited by Charles Darwin during his research of this Pacific archipelago. Upon arrival, meet your local guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel for a brief presentation introducing the natural treasures of San Cristobal and the local culture. In the afternoon, set off on your first exploration of the island, beginning with the beautiful La Loberia beach, famed for its population of sea lions. On a 30-minute guided nature walk to the beach, meet the local wildlife, such as land iguanas and sea birds before arriving at La Loberia to enjoy some free time swimming with the sea lions, snorkelling or simply taking in the breathtaking natural beauty of your surroundings! Return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the evening at your leisure. Why not get out and explore the town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, with its numerous restaurants and trendy bars. Why not head down to Playa Mann to enjoy a beach day with the locals or opt for an optional excursion to Kicker Rock or Española Island? Make the most of the island's diverse natural landscapes, spend the day discovering the charms of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno or opt for something a little more adventurous, such as a snorkelling excursion to Kicker Rock or a visit to Isla Lobos or Isla Española.* Overnight stay in San Cristobal.

Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure, enjoying the beautiful beaches and wonderful wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. Depending on your area of interest, there are plenty of sights to explore. Why not go hiking up to Cerro Brujo viewpoint for spectacular panoramas of the entire island or venture across the island to Puerto Chino, an excellent spot for swimming or snorkelling and where sea lions, sea turtles and blue-footed boobies are found in abundance. Breakfast at the hotel. After exploring the rich biodiversity and magical natural landscapes of the Galapagos Islands, it's finally time to head back to the mainland. At the indicated time take a shared transfer to the airport to catch a flight back to Quito. On arrival, a shared transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel for the night, situated close to the airport. Overnight stay in Quito. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Sadly, it's time to bring your adventure through Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands to an end. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Canada. Night on board.
