Arrive, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel* in Nairobi. Kenya's capital and largest city, Nairobi is nicknamed the 'Green City in the Sun' and is a vibrant place where you can really get to grips with Kenya's diverse culture. This cosmopolitan capital is a great place to sample the delights of Kenyan cuisine or to hit the local bars or cafes to soak up the atmosphere of the place. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring at your leisure, ready to set off on your safari adventure in the morning. Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Early breakfast at the hotel before heading southwards out of the city as you watch the landscape slowly change from urban metropolis to vast wilderness. Catch sight of distant Mount Kilimanjaro as you journey for around 4-hours through typical African savannah and past local homesteads and Maasai communities. Arrive at the lodge in Amboseli in time for lunch. Get settled before embarking on your first photo safari tour of the trip! Amboseli National Park is famed for its large herds of elephants and its dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Experience captivating landscapes and get up close to incredible wildlife before returning to the lodge. Spend the evening relaxing at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Amboseli.
Start the day early with a sunrise game drive through Amboseli National Park. After breakfast at the lodge, transfer back to Nairobi. Arrive and enjoy a free day to discover vibrant Nairobi. Maybe take a look at the Nairobi National Museum which gives you a taste of Kenya’s heritage. Additionally, you will find wonderful dining facilities, a beautiful botanical garden, and eclectic shopping facilities in the city. Dinner at Carnivore Restaurant and overnight in the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Aberdares and enjoy lunch. The park contains a wide range of landscapes - from the mountain peaks that rise to 13,000 ft above sea level, to their deep, V-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. Moorland, bamboo forests and rainforests are found at lower altitudes. In the afternoon transfer to the lodge for an exciting night of game viewing! Dinner and overnight stay in Aberdares.
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Aberdares this morning as you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, with a visit to Thompson Falls in Nyahururu along the way. Arrive at the lodge and time for lunch. Spend the afternoon on a game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge in Lake Nakuru.
Awake to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards, depart for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch and soak up the breathtaking views of the surrounding savannah. In the mid-afternoon, head off on a game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, considered the world’s finest game viewing area! Keep your eyes peeled for the legendary Big Five: lions, rhinos, buffalos, elephants and leopards as you venture through the wild landscapes and watch in awe as the dramas of everyday life in the animal kingdom unfold before you! Head back to the lodge at sunset for dinner. Overnight stay in the Maasai Mara.
Today, enjoy either a full day on safari with a picnic lunch, or split your game drives into the morning and evening for a chance to see the immense size and diversity of this beautiful reserve and the changing landscapes as the sun rises and falls. Breakfast at the hotel.* Leave the wilds of Kenya behind today as you transfer to Nairobi airport to board a flight to Entebbe. Touch down in Uganda and transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure, relaxing or exploring the city for a chance to experience the local culture. Relax at your own pace, ready for the adventure that awaits you tomorrow. Overnight stay in Entebbe.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, head to the incredible Queen Elizabeth National Park, by road. The park boasts one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, from the open Savannah to the rainforest, the dense papyrus swamps and brooding crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. Once you arrive at the park, enjoy an exhilarating game drive where you will have the unique opportunity to encounter the almost 100 species of mammals and 606 bird varieties in their natural habitat. Keep a look out for the Black Chested Eagle, Olive Baboons, lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopards, Spotted Hyena and elephants among many others! Overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Breakfast at the camp. This morning, you can choose between two available activities! You have the option of going for a chimp tracking excursion in Kalinzu Forest, or set-off on a game drive where you can explore the park further and spot the animals most active during morning time. Enjoy time after your morning activity to relax and take in your surroundings. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting boat trip along the Kazinga Channel where you’ll be sure to spot some of the local wildlife. Hippos huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, buffalos hang-out in the shallows and an enormous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores. Bird enthusiasts, keep a look out! Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are commonly seen. To round up this thrilling day, finish with a mini game drive and then head to the lodge for the night. Overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Breakfast at the camp. This morning, bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and set off for the town of Kisoro, passing Kabale on the way. Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of hills, valleys and terraced farming, landscapes unique to this area, before arriving at your destination in the afternoon. The lodge sits on the shores of Lake Mulehe, overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes near Kisoro in the southwest, a sight of sheer beauty to behold. Get a good night's rest, ready for your exciting gorilla tracking adventure in the morning! Overnight stay in Bwindi Forest National Park.
Early breakfast at the lodge. Awake early to set off on an unforgettable Gorilla tracking excursion in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Take all the necessary gear with you as you head into the mythical forests of Bwindi for one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth! Just 650 mountain gorillas are left in the world, so tracking can take between 2 and 6 hours, but it is well worth the effort. Professional park guides will guide you through the forest, explaining the lifestyles of the gorilla families and pointing out interesting flora and fauna. Once you've tracked down your group of gorillas, watch in awe as these majestic animals go about their daily lives, grooming, feeding and interacting with each other. It is an unforgettable experience to see gorillas in the wild! Trek back to base and return to the lodge, filled with unforgettable memories of today's wildlife encounters! In the afternoon you have the chance to enjoy a range of optional activities at the lodge, such as a village walk or boat trip on Lake Mulehe, which can be arranged and paid for at the time. Roads in Kenya can be quite bumpy and are not in great condition, particularly those found in the country’s national parks. People who suffer with back problems should consider this before participating in a trip of this nature.
During your stay at Aberdares National Park, warm clothes will be required as the nights can be particularly cold in this region of Kenya.
