Tourist attractions Ndagane

Ndangane lies about 5 km south of Fimela, on an arm of the Saloum River that leads to the islands of Mar Lodj, Mar Fafako and Bassoul. Part of the Fatick region, it’s a quiet riverside village and the gateway to the Saloum Delta National Park, around two and a half hours’ drive from Dakar.Ndangane is the starting point for exploring the delta by water. Mar Lodj, the most common destination from here, is just a short pirogue ride away. Often described as the gateway to the Saloum and a paradise for fishermen, it’s the perfect base for gliding through mangrove-lined channels and discovering the Serer villages of the surrounding islands.
