Dunajec River
Tourist attractions Dunajec River
Of more than 270 kilometres in length, the Dunajec River is one of the most popular natural attractions in the south of Poland. The route along the river is usually taken on small wooden boats managed by mountain boatmen whose clothes are similar to Venetian gondoliers. During a trip down the river, you can see Pieniny National Park, as well as the Tatras National Park, known for having the highest peaks in Poland. For just over an hour, travellers can enjoy one of the greenest areas of the country and some historical gems such as the Church of Debno, from the fifteenth century and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Its medieval style architecture is one of the best preserved in Poland.
