1st Day: US - Night on board

It's time to discover the cities and scenery of the River Danube, a natural treasure of Central Europe! At the indicated time, arrive at your US departure airport to catch a flight to the Austrian capital of Vienna.* Night on board.

* If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

2nd Day: Vienna

Touch down in Vienna and transfer to the river port. Boarding commences at approx. 16:00, so enjoy some time at your leisure to discover the atmosphere of the historic Austrian capital and perhaps indulge in its famous coffee culture. Once you have boarded the ship, take some time to settle into your cabin. Get to know your fellow cruisers during a welcome cocktail reception before dinner on board. Overnight stay on board in Vienna.

3rd Day: Vienna

Full-board on board. After breakfast, you have the chance to join an optional panoramic tour of the most important sights of the Austrian capital! See the most emblematic buildings in Vienna, including the Opera House, the City Hall, the Parliament, the Burgtheater and the splendid Hofburg Imperial Palace.* In the afternoon, enjoy the city at your leisure, getting to know its elegant streets or taking a stroll along the riverside. If you opted for the excursions package, you'll spend the afternoon visiting the marvellous Schonbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg rulers. Return to the ship and, around midnight, leave the Austrian capital behind as you set sail in the direction of the Wachau Valley. Overnight on board.

4th Day: Dürnstein - Melk

Full-board on board. Awake this morning in the charming town of Dürnstein, situated in the heart of the winding Wachau Valley and famed for its enchanting medieval castle. Disembark the ship and begin exploring the historic city center on foot, passing through the medieval city gates headed towards Pranger Square. Enjoy a beautiful view over the ruins of Dürnstein Castle, famed as the location where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Spend the rest of the morning discovering the delights of this Wachau Valley town at your leisure until boarding the ship, ready to leave Dürnstein at noon. Watch the landscapes of the Wachau Valley pass by before arriving in the small town of Melk in the early afternoon. Take some time to explore its picturesque streets or pay a visit to its famous Benedictine Abbey, perched above the old town.* Back on board, continue your course towards Linz and relax at your leisure. Overnight stay on board.

5th Day: Melk - Linz

Full-board on board. Arrive in Linz today, the capital of Upper Austria and a city famed for its elegant Baroque architecture! Situated between the fertile Danube Valley and the old salt trade route, it has been considered one of the most important cities on the Danube since the 19th-century. The morning is free at your leisure to get to know Linz at your own pace. See Linz's beautiful Old Town Hall and Alt Dom Cathedral and discover the fusion of history and modernity in this forward-looking Austrian city. At lunchtime, return to the ship and set sail eastwards, headed towards Slovakia. Overnight stay on board.

6th Day: Linz - Bratislava

Full-board on board. As dawn breaks, the ship arrives in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava. Disembark and spend the morning getting to know the charms of the city's 18th-century old town at your own pace. We recommend an optional guided tour to discover the best of this imperial city, including the National Theater, the striking St. Michael's Cathedral, Michael's Gate and the hilltop Bratislava Castle.* In the afternoon, return to the ship and continue your course along the breathtaking River Danube towards Budapest in Hungary. Overnight stay on board.

7th Day: Bratislava - Budapest

Full-board on board. After breakfast, arrive in Budapest, the capital of Hungary and a city of two halves. Budapest is divided by the mighty Danube into the old town of 'Buda' and more modern and cosmopolitan 'Pest'. Explore the capital at your own pace or opt for our optional guided tour to see the famous Parliament Building, the Opera House, Heroes Square, the Market Place, the photogenic Chain Bridge and the Fisherman's Bastion, with its spectacular views over the city.* Budapest comes to life after nightfall, as the city and its river are illuminated. Enjoy the evening at your leisure discovering the flavors of Hungarian cuisine or enjoying the capital's excellent nightlife. Overnight stay on board.

8th Day: Budapest - Esztergom

Full-board on board. Arrive in the fascinating Hungarian city of Esztergom this morning. The first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, it's famous as the place where the first King, Stephen I, was crowned in the year 1000. Explore historic Esztergom at your leisure and don't miss the city's Basilica, the largest church in Hungary and home to the largest organ in the country! Return to the ship in time for lunch and set sail for the final leg of your journey along the eternal Danube, navigating back towards the Austrian capital of Vienna. It's time to get dressed up this evening as you're invited to the much-anticipated Captain's Dinner! Overnight stay on board. 

9th Day: Vienna - US

Breakfast on board.* Arrive in Vienna in the morning and disembark the ship, bringing your incredible Danube cruise to an end. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip.
