Touch down in Amman and transfer to your hotel.* Amman is the modern capital of Jordan but possesses dozens of ancient historical sites, set into a hillside in northern Jordan. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure or, alternatively, we recommend unwinding with an optional excursion** to Hammamat Ma'in hot springs. Dinner and overnight stay in Amman.

* Possibility of booking early check-in in the next step of the booking process.

3rd Day: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a panoramic tour of the city of Amman. Walk along its most important avenues and see the Citadel, the bustling urban center and the historic Roman Theater. Afterwards, continue north to Jerash, one of the cities of the Decapolis. Here, discover the Arc de Triomphe, the Oval Square, the collonaded Cardo Maximus, the Temple of Aphrodite and finally, the Roman Theater, once renowned for its wonderful acoustics. The adventure through Jordan's past continues at Ajloun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after their destruction by the Mongols. This Crusader castle is located on the top of a mountain, so enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding regions as you explore its historic exterior. Return to Amman. Dinner and overnight stay in Amman.

4th Day: Amman - Desert Castles - Dead Sea - Amman

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to the east of the city to visit the astounding Desert Crusader Castles, constructed from the seventh to the eleventh centuries when they were used as military forts for the defence of the territory. Next, get ready to visit the amazing Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, located 400 meters below sea level. It is famed for its high salt content, so savour the opportunity to bathe in its buoyant and theraputic waters. After a refreshing dip, return to Amman. Dinner and an overnight stay in Amman.

5th Day: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Shobak Castle - Petra

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Madaba to visit the Church of St. George where you can admire a mosaic dating back to the year 560, which represents the oldest known map of the Holy Land. Continue towards Mount Nebo, the place where Moses is thought to have the first sighting of 'The Promised Land'. Enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea and visit the remains of a Byzantine Church, home to beautiful mosaics. Head to Shobak Castle, located on the side of a mountain and built by King Baudouin I of Jerusalem to keep watch over the route between Egypt and Damascus. Continue to iconic Petra, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

6th Day: Petra

After breakfast at the hotel, set off for a full-day visit to the famed Nabatean capital of Petra. During the tour, visit the most important and representative monuments, sculpted into the rocks by this ancient civilization. Admire the Treasury, the famous and most internationally recognized monument, as seen in one of the Indiana Jones films, the Colored Tombs and the Royal Tombs, and get to know more about life here in ancient times. Petra is one of those places in the world that you must visit at least once in your life. At the end of the visit, return to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Petra.

7th Day: Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum

Breakfast at the hotel. Head off to a place known as 'Little Petra', located just north of Petra and home to a narrow gorge of 2 meters wide, adorned with typical Nabatean architecture. It was inhabited by the Nabateans and you can see the relics of this civilization in its tombs, ancient water tanks and riverbeds. Next, head to magical Wadi Rum, the desert made famous by Lawrence of Arabia. Take a 4x4 excursion in the lunar-like landscapes for an unforgettable experience before arriving at your desert camp. Dinner under the stars and overnight at the camp in Wadi Rum.
