1st Day: US - Beijing
Arrive at your US departure airport, ready to board your flight* to China. Night on board.

2nd Day: Beijing
Arrive at Beijing Airport and transfer to your hotel.* As the capital of China, Beijing is undoubtedly one of the world’s most historic and culturally rich cities. Overnight stay in Beijing.

3rd Day: Beijing
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you’ll visit a Jade Factory to learn about the importance and cultural significance of this stone in China. Then head to the fascinating Great Wall at Juyongguan. Construction on this section began in the 7th century to protect the Chinese Empire from invaders, and it remains a must-see attraction to this day.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to relax or continue exploring at your own pace. We also recommend joining our optional visit to the Shichahai Hutongs with a nighttime tour of Qianmen.* Overnight stay in Beijing.

Afterwards, visit the Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre to learn how herbal treatments and ancient practices have helped people for thousands of years.

Japan:
This tour doesn’t include a guide on a daily basis. It is the responsibility of each passenger to self-transfer between hotels and meeting points for activities/excursions and to / from departure points of included transfers.
A number of Japanese cities impose an accommodation tax, which must be paid directly to the hotel.
China:
Mandatory tips: Mandatory tips of 60 USD per person are not included in the price and must be paid at the destination by either Cash or Alipay. Payment can also be done by GBP / CAD / EUR / AUD and the guide will collect your currency's equivalent of 60 USD following the exchange rate of the moment. Credit card will not be accepted. These are the ONLY mandatory tips you will be required to pay during this tour and will be covering the guide tips of the whole tour.
IMPORTANT: In order to receive your invitation letter for your Chinese Visa (mandatory) it is important that all of your details and names are given to Exoticca exactly as they appear on your passport. Once you receive your invitation letter from us (approximately two months prior to departure) you will be required to make an appointment to go to the Chinese Visa Center in person with your passport with at least 6 months validity, a passport photo, a visa application form and the invitation letter to apply for your Chinese Visa. You will also be required to make another appointment to return to the Chinese Visa Center a second time to collect your Chinese Visa (it can be replaced for a home-delivery service with an extra fee). The cost of a Chinese Visa can range from 140 USD / person depending on added assistance services, express delivery upgrades, etc. It usually takes around 10 days to get a visa approval.

Japan:
**Accommodation:
Hotel rooms in Japan are usually equipped with one double bed. If you require twin beds, please let us know at the time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate your request, although it cannot always be guaranteed.
Please note that hotel rooms in Japan are generally smaller than those in other countries. Rooms are often compact, and space may feel limited when an extra bed is added. Please also note that double beds in Japanese hotels are not always the standard Western size and can sometimes be less wide.
Children ages 2–11 will be provided with an extra bed. This may be a sofa bed or a single bed (approx. 85–196 cm). Triple rooms will also have an extra bed of the same size.
Quad rooms are available for families with children. In most cases, this means four single beds of the same size, though arrangements may vary depending on the hotel.
If you book a triple room, you’ll enjoy this type of accommodation in all cities except Shanghai, where you’ll have two separate bedrooms.
*Transportation:
You will receive the final documentation of the train transfers 15 days before departure.
The usual departure time is between 9 and 10 AM leaving from Tokyo Station and reaching Kyoto Station around 12PM. Please arrive to Tokyo Station with enough time before departure to locate the exact platform and train you will be using. We can't guarantee specific seat requests (aisle / window, etc).
For Kyoto to Osaka, the usual departure time is 13:45 and 14:00 leaving from Kyoto Station and reaching Shin Osaka Station (Please note Shin Osaka is different from Osaka station). However, you will receive the confirmed schedule of the train transfers before departure.
Please arrive to Kyoto Station with enough time before departure to locate the exact platform and train you will be using. We can't guarantee specific seat requests (aisle / window, etc). You will receive the confirmed schedule of the train transfers before departure.
Baggage allowance on trains is as follows: one big suitcase per person, with a maximum weight of 30 kg and combined dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 160 cm. Any additional luggage will incur a surcharge.
Your internal flight details will be available no later than 15 days before departure or will be provided at your destination. You can view all your flight information and travel documents in the 'Your Trips' section of the app, and in the Trip Summary available in the 'My Bookings' section on the Exoticca website, once you've logged in.
Meet & Greet:
Please note that this tour is independent and does not include a Meet & Greet service by default. This can, however, be added as an optional service for an extra cost.
For those passengers who book a trip without international flights through Exoticca, you will need to share your flight details with us with at least 30 days before arrival to Japan if you want to book the Meet & Greet service.
For tours and activities, please ensure to arrive at the meeting points with plenty of time. We recommend being there at least 15 minutes before the starting time. Please note that late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
China:
*We cannot guarantee that you and your travel companions will be allocated seats together on the train. Some train journeys and flights might be early in the morning in order to successfully follow the schedule.
