La Concha Beach

La Concha Beach is located in San Sebastián, in the Basque Country, in northern Spain. It is one of the city’s most iconic tourist destinations and is considered one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world. Its bay has a shell-like shape, which gives it its name, and it is bordered by an elegant promenade with white railings and historic lampposts. From the beach, you can see Mount Urgull on one side, Mount Igueldo on the other, and the small Santa Clara Island right in the center of the bay.

One of the most curious facts about La Concha Beach is that it has been visited by royalty on several occasions, especially Queen Maria Christina in the 19th century, which boosted San Sebastián’s tourism development.
