Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, head to the grandiose  Suleymaniye Mosque, located on the third hill of Istanbul, boasting one of the most incredible panoramic views of the city. The mosque was designed by the imperial architect of great importance, Mimar Sinan, commissioned by ruler Suleiman the Magnificent, and built circa 1550.

After the visit, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore Istanbul at your own pace. Discover its labyrinthine bazaars, vibrant city life and eclectic architecture. Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy an Athens Sightseeing Tour including the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. Begin in the center of the city, the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National library.

On-route to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and a quick stop at Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Traditional Santorini Bus Tour: During this exciting bus adventure, stop at the most prominent locations on the island. Explore Emporio Village and its medieval fortress, one of the oldest and most traditional villages of Santorini, built like a small labyrinth. Next, take a guided tour of Akrotiri aka “Prehistoric Pompei” or “Lost Atlantis”, buried and preserved by the volcanic ash of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history (17th century BC). You then enjoy some free time on Perissa Beach to have lunch and relax at one of the longest black sandy beaches in the Cyclades. Next, stop at Santorini winery for a tasting of Santorini's distinctive wines and learn about one of the oldest vineyards in Europe. Optional Sunset On Board: Begin this beautiful journey at the volcano of Santorini in Nea Kameni Island, take photos of the active crater and walk on its rims. Next, stop at Palia Kameni where you can dive and swim in the hot springs created by the volcano. Sail above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor and you will have the time to savour some local wine. In the north cape of Santorini you will admire the magical view of Oia village with its famous white houses! The end of the excursion comes at sunset. The boat sets sail as the sun dives into the sea.

Optional Caldera – Oia Excursion (Volcano–Hot Springs–Thirassia–Oia–Sunset): An exciting and adventurous excursion that begins sailing with a traditional wooden boat, a kaiki, to the volcano. Climb for approximately 30 minutes to explore dramatic rocky scenery. Next, the boat will anchor at around 220 feet from the hot springs, so you can swim to and from the boat. Next, enjoy some free time for lunch (not included) and a swim  in Thirassia, Fisherman’s Island. * A number of Greek cities impose an accommodation tax, which must be paid directly to the hotel (Aprox. 3-4€ per room per night). City taxes must be paid in cash directly to the hotels.

The order of the itinerary changes according to the arrival date and is determined based on the days you travel to Cappadocia, which are Tuesday and Friday. Therefore, the 4 nights in Istanbul are distributed accordingly:

Monday and Friday arrivals: 3 nights in Istanbul at the beginning, 1N Ankara, 2N Cappadocia and 1N at the end in Istanbul.

Tuesday and Saturday arrivals: 2 nights in Istanbul at the beginning, 1N Ankara, 2N Cappadocia and 2N at the end in Istanbul.

If you choose the Sup. Istanbul Center category, only the location and category of the hotel in Istanbul will change. The rest of the hotels in your itinerary will be the same in each category. About Greece:

Important: 

APRIL-MAY-OCTOBER: the regular ferries which run and connect Santorini with Athens depart from Santorini in the afternoon and arrive at Athens in the night. The approximate duration is 7h 30 min. Therefore you can enjoy some free time in Santorini on this day but not in Athens.

JUNE-JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER the regular ferries which run and connect Santorini with Athens depart from Santorini early in the morning and arrive at Athens in the afternoon. Therefore you can enjoy some free time in Athens on this day.

**** The ferries included in this itinerary are conventional ferries running at average speed such as Blue Star or Super Ferry. They should not be considered high speed nor super-fast ferries or fast ferries.
And, in case of adverse conditions, there may be changes to the ferry timings.

NOTE: Due to timings, in Santorini you will only be able to enjoy one of the optional activities listed, so please pick the one you prefer.
