2nd Day: Lima

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on a half day private city tour of Lima where you will acquaint yourself with the colonial part of the city. From the historic center where you will find the impressive Santo Domingo Convent to the Casa de Aliaga, home to the famous conquistador Jerónimo de Aliaga, explore the city’s key spots.

From here, make your way to the Plaza de Armas and gaze at the beauty of the colonial architecture before making a stop to the Larco Museum which houses more than 45,000 pieces depicting five thousand years of ancient Peruvian history.

As an optional, you can have lunch in the museum* where you will feast on a delicious traditional Peruvian meal. Additionally, if you have energy for more adventure, head over to our optional walking tour of Barranco and Victor Delfin**. Overnight stay in Lima.

3rd Day: Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, you will be escorted to the airport for a flight to Cuzco. Once you’ve arrived in Cuzco, the former Inca capital, you will be escorted to Sacred Valley.

On your way there, make a quick stop at the Sulca Textile House Museum, where you will learn about fabrics and pieces from ancient Peru that used ancestral techniques from the different Pre-Columbian Inca, Viceroyalty and contemporary cultures.

Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring the lively immaculate scenery of this iconic region. Alternatively, why not take part in an Earth ceremony in Sulca* for a spiritual experience that is sure to leave you awe-struck. Overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

4th Day: Sacred Valley

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, enjoy a private full day excursion of Sacred Valley. Get your day started by visiting Chinchero, a charming and picturesque Andean village where you will visit a local artisan’s studio to see original works and learn about their artistic process and techniques.

From here, you will stop by the Inca del Pueblo, an important archaeological center built in the 15th century where you can also enjoy a panoramic view of its traditional church.

Next, make your way to Ollantaytambo to stop at a viewpoint where you will have some of the best views of the Sacred Valley. Enjoy lunch and then finally you will arrive in Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire and one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost an important battle. Overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

5th Day: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Breakfast at the hotel. You will be escorted from the Valle Sagrado hotel to Ollantaytambo station. From here, the highlight of the trip commences: exploring the wonders of the iconic Machu Picchu.

The fully guided and private excursion will begin aboard a 360/Vistadome train, with stunning views of the landscape, heading to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. Each car of this train has panoramic windows on both sides that facilitate a truly spectacular train ride from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo.

From here, you will ascend to the ruins before reaching the top where you take a tour of the incredible Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Continue on with a lunch at Café Inkaterra once you’ve descended back down to Aguas Calientes. This local restaurant features an intimate setting overlooking the Vilcanota River where you will get to enjoy a delicious three-course meal.

Finally, board the train to return back to Ollanta where you will then transfer to Cuzco and be escorted to your hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Cuzco

6th Day: Cuzco

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a half day private walking tour of Cuzco, the imposing Imperial City, an example of the harmonious coexistence between the Andean and Spanish cultures. Begin your adventure visiting the San Pedro market, to acquaint yourself with the colours, aromas and falvors of contemporary Cuzco. 

Later, stroll through the Plaza de Armas, where you will stop by the Cathedral, the most important temple of the city.

You will then make your way to the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship of the Sun God. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, soaking up the atmosphere of the city. We recommend an optional gastronomic tour of Cuzco*. Overnight stay in Cuzco.

*Optional Gastronomic Tour of Cuzco: This culinary night tour consists of walking through the streets of Cuzco to taste some of the best street food in the city from strategically chosen locations. To access the citadel of Machu Picchu, you can bring a personal bag that does not exceed 40x35x20cm.
