4th Day: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, an exciting day awaits you in Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to the village of Ollantaytambo to travel by train to Aguas Calientes* (Machu Picchu village) and enjoy the beautiful green mountain scenery along the way.
Once there, transfer by bus to the ancient Inca city of the Citadel for approximately a 2:30h visit which may take place in the morning or afternoon depending on availability. Enjoy the spectacular views of this Peruvian treasure built in the 15th century at an altitude of more than 2000 meters.
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and, depending on the return train schedule, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace. Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

To access the citadel of Machu Picchu, you can bring a personal bag that does not exceed 40x35x20cm. In case it exceeds the indicated measurements, you will be able to keep it during the visit for a price of approx. 2$ per bag. Please note that it is forbidden to enter with plastic bottles or bags.

Important information about your stay in Amak Iquitos Lodge
- Baggage allowance per person: 1 carry-on suitcase of maximum 8 kilos and a small handbag. Leave heavy luggage at your hotel in the city.
- We include 1 bottle of water per person only on the first night and for the following nights or during the day we invite you to refill your bottles at the water dispensers in the common areas.
- Meals include water.
- If you wish to use the bar inside the Lodge, please bring cash in local currency (no large bills). Credit cards are not accepted.
- There is no wifi connection at the Lodge.
- There is no electricity. They use an hourly generator in the common areas. The cabins have solar panels for lighting only.
- There is no hot water. It is recommended to take showers between 7am and 7pm when the water is naturally warmer.
Important information about your stay in Irapay Amazon Lodge
- Only snacks and drinks are served at the pool.
- Electrical fluid hours 07:00 to 10 am and 18:00 to 22:30 pm
- There is no Internet or WIFI service, but if you have a cell phone with data you can connect.
- All rooms have ceiling fans during the hours of electricity.
- We remind you that food and beverages are not allowed in the rooms.
