What to see in Mauritius

Le Morne Brabant

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this huge basalt rock of more than 500 meters is one of the natural jewels of Mauritius and is located in the southwest of the country. Every year, since 1835, the indigenous celebrate the abolition of slavery here. In addition to its history, Le Morne Brabant surprises the traveler by the beauty of its surroundings: its green vegetation and the turquoise lagoon that surrounds it. One of the essential stops during a trip to Mauritius.
