Jordan: a road trip to remember

*Please note that depending on your flight selection you may arrive in the early morning between 00:00 and 02:00 am the next day.

If you are travelling with Vueling, Ryanair or Wizz Air, we recommend that you check-in online to avoid additional charges. Your reservation includes only one small piece of hand luggage per person (40 cm x 20 cm x 25 cm) which must be placed under the seat in front of you on the plane. Additional luggage (both hand and hold luggage) can be purchased in advance via the airline's website. Any extra luggage that does not meet the specified dimensions and is not booked in advance will be subject to additional fees at the airport.

**Important notes regading accommodation:

None of the camps offered in Wadi Rum can be considered as a Luxury option as Luxury camps do not exist in Wadi Rum. All the camps are operated by Bedouins, not Hoteliers. The standard of service is equal between camps but can't be considered equal in comparison to the other hotels offered in the tour.

Tent types and allocation in Wadi Rum are the same for both Charm and Superior Categories. You can upgrade to a Martian Tent during the next step of the booking process, or select our Luxury accommodation category as the Martian tent comes included.

Please note: there are no triple rooms in Jordan hotels and the extra bed are fold-out style, smaller in size than a standard single bed. Triple rooms are not bigger or more spacious because they are occupied by 3 people.

***If you arrive at the hotel after 9:00 p.m, dinner will not be included. Instead, you will have the option to reserve a cold packed dinner for an additional charge in the next step of the booking process.

****Car type and model: Economy size (automatic, 1400–1500 cc), e.g. Kia Pegas, MG5, Peugeot 301 or any other similar model.

The rental car is picked up and returned at Amman Airport. The rental includes unlimited mileage and CDW insurance (Collision Damage Waiver), which covers liability for damage resulting from accidents. However, CDW does not cover all types of damage and typically includes an excess that the driver is responsible for in the event of an incident. CDW provides only partial coverage, meaning the driver may still have to cover part of the costs.

There is an option to purchase FDW (Full Damage Waiver) or SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver), which reduce or completely eliminate the excess and offer broader protection. These may include minor scratches, damage to glass or chassis, depending on the terms of the rental company. They may also cover the cost of the police report in the event of an accident, up to USD 500 per accident, if the driver is at fault. In the event of an accident, the driver is responsible for contacting the police and requesting the appropriate report. Failure to do so will make the driver liable for any consequences or penalties.

Car hire requirements:

• The driver must be 21 years of age or older on the day of rental.
• A valid driving licence with Latin alphabet characters is required.
• A credit card is mandatory, as the rental company will place a hold as a security deposit at the time of vehicle collection.
• Failure to meet any of these conditions will make the driver fully responsible for any consequences.

The fuel level when returning the car must be the same as at the time of collection.

Group size: 1 to 4 people per car, depending on vehicle capacity. For reservations with more than 4 people, an additional car will be assigned.

Luggage space: Vehicles have limited space, with capacity for 1 large suitcase and 1 or 2 pieces of hand luggage.

Monday and Saturday: 2 nights Amman, 2 nights Petra, 1 night Wadi Rum, 2 nights Amman.

Tuesday and Sunday: 1 night Amman, 2 nights Petra, 1 night Wadi Rum, 3 nights Amman.

Friday: 3 nights Amman, 2 nights Petra, 1 night Wadi Rum, 1 night Amman.

To obtain your free visa upon arrival, managed by our travel partner in Jordan, we require your complete Passport information and a copy as well at least 30 days prior to your departure.

Please remember that if you book your trip without international flights, you must share the details of your independently purchased flights at least 30 days in advance in order to receive the airport meet-and-greet service.

Please note that professional cameras, such as those with big zoom lenses, drones of any kind and tripods of any kind are not allowed in Jordan. Bringing these objects into the country can cause delays at the airport so please leave these items at home.

Remember to download your e-ticket to confirm the times of your flights and to complete online check-in using the airline’s website, or directly at the check-in desk at the airport.

Accommodation at the hotels is as indicated. In the event of any changes to accommodation, they will always be of the same or a higher category. The category of hotels is not standardized across all countries in the world. For this reason, the criteria may differ depending on the destination country's own standards.

For a three-person occupancy, the only option would be to have one double bed or two single beds and a rollaway or sofa bed. This option is only available under request through our call center.

While on the road, it is highly unlikely that the vehicle will be equipped with wifi or bathroom facilities, though rest stops will be made for long trips. We recommend purchasing a new SIM card at the airport or placing an e-SIM before travel to guarantee internet connection.

Room allocation: We will do our best to accommodate your family in the same room. If availability doesn't permit this, we guarantee your family will be accommodated as close together as possible. Children will always be accomodated in a room with at least 1 adult.

Car seats: Not available in all destinations. Feel free to take your own if you need one.
