1st Day: US - Night on board

Arrive at your US departure airport, ready for a flight* to Madrid. Night on board.

* If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

2nd Day: Madrid

Arrive in Madrid, the enigmatic capital city of Spain, known for its fast-paced atmosphere, classical architecture and beautiful plazas and parks. Transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring at your own pace. Towards the end of the day, we provide transfers to the Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via. Overnight stay in Madrid.

3rd Day: Madrid

Breakfast at the hotel. The morning starts with a comprehensive tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Visit Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where you will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Continue to visit Las Ventas Bullring. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset, you will have available a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants. Overnight stay in Madrid.

4th Day: Madrid - Puerto Lápice - Granada

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, travel to the eternal city of Granada, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdom, where their influence endured up until 1492. On the way to this stunning city, we will stop in Puerto Lápice, a village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. Arrive in Granada and enjoy your included lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the world-famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens. Admire the intricate Moorish architecture of this former palace and fortress and learn about its history. In the evening you will visit the Albaicín district of Granada, a World Heritage site along with the Alhambra, where you can enjoy dinner in the narrow winding streets of this captivating Medieval Moorish quarter. Overnight stay in Granada.

5th Day: Granada - Malaga - Marbella - Ronda - Seville

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, continue your journey south setting off to the much-loved Costa del Sol, one of the countries most popular holiday destinations. Arrive in Malaga and explore the historic centre, with its cathedral and the Picasso Museum. Continue the day along the coastal motorway with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. Stopping in Puerto Banús, in Marbella, a pretty resort known as a playground for Europe’s rich and famous people. In the afternoon you will continue through the hills until you arrive in the mountain-top town of Ronda, known for its Celtic origins and marvellous views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Continue to Seville. Arrive at the hotel and overnight stay in Seville.

6th Day: Seville

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, a local expert guides you through a scenic visit of Seville featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda bell tower, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, popular neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España. After the tour, start a boat trip along the river Guadalquivir, enjoying the panoramic views from the boat. On the afternoon, visit the historic city centre area and enjoy Seville's fine cuisine. Overnight stay in Seville.

7th Day: Seville - Zaragoza - Monastery of Montserrat - Barcelona

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Sevilla early in the morning and transfer to the train station to take a high-speed train to Zaragoza. Arrive in Zaragoza and enjoy some free time to visit the impressive Pilar Basilica and enjoy the city centre. You will then continue to the Monastery of Poblet, surrounded by its walls in a beautiful site that is one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. Then proceed to the Monastery of Montserrat where you will go up the mountain on a rack train to see its fantastic scenery. Following this you will continue to Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon. Arrival and overnight stay in Barcelona.

Note: In the winter months, from November to March, due to the shorter days, you will not visit the Monastery of Poblet in order to reach Montserrat in the daylight.

8th Day: Barcelona

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will explore Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Starting with an informative city tour with a local expert. You will also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. You will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. You will get the chance to see La Sagrada Familia Basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Following this, visit ‘Poble Espanyol’ (meaning ‘Spanish Village’). This open-air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Enjoy Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Take some free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide transfers to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area for dinner, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants. Overnight stay in Barcelona.

9th Day: Barcelona - US

Breakfast* at the hotel. At the indicated time, self-transfer to the airport for your flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip.

* Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.
