Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, self-transfer to the station to take a train to Dresden, enjoying a scenic journey of around 2 hours to the capital of the historic region of Saxony. Arrive in Saxony, self-transfer to the hotel and get comfy before discovering the city at your leisure. Take a stroll by the River Elbe, take in some culture at the famous Zwinger building or step back in time at the prestigious Japanese Palace. Although most of the city was destroyed during World War II, you'd never guess due to the amazing restoration of many of the city's historic sights. For a taste of the contemporary side of the city, head to Dresden's Neustadt, where trendy restaurants and bars are aplenty. Overnight stay in Dresden.
Breakfast at the hotel. Self-transfer to the station in Dresden to catch a train to Nuremberg, famous for its historical landmarks and walled home town. Arrive, make your way to the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the city at your leisure. Why not visit the medieval Imperial Castle, the fascinating Germanisches Nationalmuseum or take a stroll through the atmospheric old town. Overnight stay in Nuremberg.
Breakfast at the hotel. Self-transfer to the station to catch a train to Munich this morning. Munich is the capital of Bavaria and is known for its huge beer gardens, idyllic English Garden and beautiful Baroque and Renaissance architecture. Self-transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure, getting to know the city's shopping streets, museums or breweries. Overnight stay in Munich.
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a tour of Munich. Starting in Karlstor, see St. Michael's Church, where the 'Mad King' Ludwig II is buried, before heading to Marienplatz, in the heart of the city. See Opera Square and the Feldherrnhalle monument before admiring the Baroque facade of Bürgersaalkirche and St. Peter's Church. Discover a number of hidden gems and important landmarks throughout the historic center before enjoying the remainder of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Munich.
