1st Day: US - Night on board

It's time to explore the diverse landscapes, cultures and breathtaking natural beauty of South America. Arrive at your US departure airport ready to check-in for an overnight flight to Santiago, Chile. Night on board.

If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

2nd Day: Santiago

Arrival in Santiago, the capital of Chile known as one of the most important cosmopolitan cities in South America. You will be met and greeted by one of our representatives and then transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure; take this time to acclimate to your new surroundings. Overnight stay in Santiago.

3rd Day: Santiago

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a fully-guided tour of Santiago to really get to know the city’s thriving artistic culture. Start the tour walking through the main avenue of the city, going down the cobblestone neighborhood of Lastarría, known for its greenery and beautiful 19th century houses which have been restored mostly used as cafes, restaurants, bookstores and museums today.

Afterwards, make your way to Cerro Santa Lucia where we will have time to walk and take pictures, while your guide recounts some of the most important episodes in the history of Santiago, such as the Mapuche / Spanish confrontation. From its terraces we will have a panoramic view of Santiago, as well as admire relics and constructions from the colonial era, such as Castillo Hidalgo. En route to your next stop, admire emblematic sites of the city such as the Plaza de Armas, The Santiago Cathedral and its impressive architecture, in addition to the former national congress.

Arrive at the imposing government house called “La Moneda” and next to it the “Plaza de la Constitución”; visit its surroundings and learn about its important and fascinating history. Continue through the Central Market, one of the most characteristic gastronomic points of Santiago, and then make your way to the upper sector of the capital. On the way, stop at a lapis lazuli store to admire and/or buy beautiful jewelry and unique crafts. Overnight stay in Santiago.

4th Day: Santiago - Puerto Varas

5th Day: Puerto Varas

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on an action-packed adventure towards Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes, bordering Llanquihue lake. Begin your journey in Ensenada where you will start your ascent towards the volcanos, located 1240 meters above sea level. Once you’ve made it to the top, you will have time to enjoy the landscape, take pictures and appreciate the unique view of the summits, its eternal snow glaciers, Llanquihue Lake and the Pacific Ocean.

You will then have the option to enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, or to take the chairlift to reach the Glacier resort, located 1750 meters above sea level. From here, enjoy the impressive views on Llanquihue Lake. Return to your hotel and head to a local restaurant for lunch.

Later, make your way to Petrohué, located on the shore of Todos los Santos Lake, inside the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. Take a quiet walk along its trails, surrounded by a green forest, the majestic Osorno volcano and the turquoise Petrohué river. From here, take in the beauty of one of the most stunning sites of the region, the Saltos de Petrohué. Return to your hotel and overnight stay in Puerto Varas.

6th Day: Puerto Varas - Island of Chiloé - Gulf of Corcovado

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the Skorpios Cruise terminal in Puerto Montt, where you will begin your maritime journey through Chilean waters.

Start by sailing through the archipelago of Llanquihue with sights of the city of Calbuco before making your way to Quemchi on the island of Chiloé and disembark on small boats towards the picturesque village to visit a handicraft market, cafes, the museum of the Chilean author Francisco Coloane and stroll through the beautiful streets.

Return to your cruise ship and continue sailing south along the archipelago of Chiloé, crossing the Gulf of Corcovado. Overnight on board.

7th Day: Puerto Aguirre - Barrientos Islet - Caleta Quesahuen

Full board onboard. Continue your journey through the channels of Moraleda and Ferronave. Arrive at the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre enclosed by the Chonos archipelago, where you will walk through its charming streets, passing by a Patagonian rainforest to reach a viewpoint and take in the stunning sights.

Return to your cruise ship and continue sailing through the channels of Ferronave, Pilcomayo and Casma. Arrive at Islote Barrientos, where you will disembark into smaller boats approaching the rock formations to visit one of the largest bird colonies in Chile, counting Kelp Gulls, Rock shags, Red-legged shags and Imperial shags. Here, you will also find South American fur seals.

Afterwards, continue your journey heading south, arriving in Caleta Quesahuen or Punta Leopardos which is 20 nautical miles from the Glacier of San Rafael. Overnight on board.

8th Day: San Rafael Glacier

Full board onboard. Continue sailing through the channel of Tempanos until you reach the San Rafael lagoon at which point the vessel will anchor 2 km from the glacier. You will then take part in a boat excursion where you will explore the icebergs of this region, weather permitting. Return to your ship and continue your journey towards Quitralco-Fjord. Overnight on board.

9th Day: Quitralco Fjord

Full board onboard. After breakfast and docked at the Quitralco pier, enjoy thermal baths at 32° and 38°C in indoor or outdoor pools and hike along the local trails. 10th Day: Gulf of Corcovado - Conejos Islet - Dalcahue

Full board on board. Resume your journey through the channel of Leucayec, crossing the Gulf of Corcovado. With a bit of luck, you’ll catch a glimpse of humpback and/or blue whales in the early hours of the morning.

Continue sailing along the east coast of Chiloé, arriving at Islote Conejos, in the Queilen channel. Disembarking onto small boats to visit the island inhabited by Magellan penguins and birds.

From here, continue sailing through the islands of Lemuy and Chelín. You will then arrive in Dalcahue, where you have the option of visiting the handicraft market, the church and stroll along the promenade. Return to your cruise ship for a farewell party and Captain’s Dinner. Overnight on board.

11th Day: Puerto Montt - Santiago
