Arrive in Munich, the cultural capital of southern Germany. After a tour, head to Passau to board your cruise with full board. Pass through the Wachau Valley, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, and Linz with enough time to discover each one independently on this relaxing yet lively journey.
1st Day: UK/Ireland - Munich
Arrive at your chosen UK/Ireland airport ready for your flight to Germany. Land in Munich and self-transfer* to your hotel. The Bavarian capital is known as the economic and cultural center of southern Germany, where high-tech industry collides with traditional artistry and cuisine. Located near the Alps and numerous freshwater lakes, Munich makes the perfect base to begin exploring this beautiful region. Spend the day at your leisure resting, exploring the area, or sampling some Bavarian beer. Overnight in Munich.

2nd Day: Munich
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for a guided walking tour of Munich, seeing sights throughout the city center like the Karlstor, once part of the city’s medieval fortifications, the architecturally-significant St. Michael's Church, the Cathedral of Our Lady, plus Opera Square and the Residenz, where the Wittelsbach monarchs of Bavaria once resided. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening exploring Munich as your please. Perhaps you could sample a German riesling wine with your meal! Overnight in Munich.

3rd Day: Munich - Passau
Breakfast at the hotel. Self-transfer to the Munich train station, where you will make your way to Passau, known as the "City of Three Rivers." Once there, prepare to embark on your cruise at the Passau Cruise Port. You'll spend the next seven nights floating down the Danube through Central Europe with full board included throughout your stay on board. Enjoy a welcome dinner before spending your first night on board.

4th Day: Passau - Wachau
Full board included. After a night on board, wake up having crossed the border into Austria. Today you can experience the natural and historic beauty of the Wachau Valley, a verdant region known for its charming towns, rolling hills, and high-quality winemaking. One unmissable highlight is the Melk Abbey, a stunning Baroque structure that contains several important tombs. Also of note is Dürnstein, a romantic village contained within a rounded curve of the Danube. Return to the boat in the afternoon for dinner. Overnight in the Wachau Valley.

5th Day: Wachau - Budapest
Full board included. Arrive in Budapest, Hungary after breakfast ready to explore this great city divided in two by the Danube. On one side lies traditional "Buda" while the cosmopolitan "Pest" has its own distinct character. Explore the city’s grand boulevards independently, finding iconic monuments like the Hungarian Parliament, the Opera House, Heroes’ Square, the Széchenyi Baths, and the Fishermens’ Bastion (with the best views in the city!). Return to the ship for dinner after an exciting day in Budapest. Overnight on board.

6th Day: Budapest
Full board included. Enjoy a second full day at your leisure in Budapest. Theres's still plenty to discover,after all, this is the largest city on the Danube! Check out Ottoman-era thermal baths, go to view Hungary's crown jewels, or visit one of Budapest's elegant cafés. Whatever you decide to do with your day here, dinner will be waiting on board for when you return! Overnight in Budapest.

7th Day: Budapest - Bratislava
Full board included. Today you’ll visit yet another new country in this border-hopping itinerary: Slovakia. Have breakfast and spend the morning relaxing on board, with arrival in Bratislava in the afternoon. Having been ruled by many different powers, the city shows influence from a variety of Central and Eastern European cultures. You’ll have free time to explore this enchanting capital after lunch, where you can see sites like Saint Martin’s Cathedral, Michael’s Gate, the old Town Hall, and the impressive medieval fortifications. 8th Day: Bratislava - Vienna
Full board included. Return to Austria to spend the day in the capital Vienna. This imperial city, long home to the Habsburg dynasty, is famous for its artistic and musical heritage. Vienna was the home of Mozart & Klimt, and boasts world-class museums and theatre spaces to match. Walk through the center, and perhaps visit Hofburg Palace or the Albertina Museum. Vienna is famed for its café culture and delicate pastries, not to mention Wiener schnitzel. Try what interests you before returning to board for dinner. Overnight on board.

9th Day: Vienna - Linz
Full board included. Continue down the Danube to arrive in Linz, another charming Austrian city. Located in the far north of the country just south of Czechia, Linz is Austria's third-largest city and a cultural hub for the region with historic buildings and excellent shopping. Try a local dessert known as Linzer torte and visit the main square, constructed in 1230. Return to board for dinner after a fun day in Linz. Overnight on board.

10th Day: Linz - Passau - Munich
