There is a lack of unanimous agreement with regards to the boundaries of this region. This situation is due more to historical reasons than geographical reasons. It should be noted that Central Europe has seen a lot of change, due to its centrality in the political upheavals of both the First and Second World War, which resulted in many stuctural and political changes in the region. Central European countries are considered to include: Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.
