British trails: From London to Loch Ness

The journey continues south to Birmingham, known for its eclectic architecture, vibrant arts scene, and shopping districts such as the Bullring. You’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, taking in landmarks like Victoria Square, Library of Birmingham, and the Jewellery Quarter. From here, you will visit one of the world’s most iconic prehistoric monuments: Stonehenge! You’ll have time to explore the enigmatic stone circle to contemplate and try to uncover its secrets and mysteries. You’ll then head to Swindon for a relaxing evening. Overnight stay in Swindon.

You’ll take a tour to explore the college grounds, bustling streets and admire the medieval architecture and vibrant academic atmosphere. Afterward, you’ll travel to the city of Windsor, where you will be able to explore at your leisure. You’ll be free to explore its quaint streets, visit the lush Windsor Great Park, or take a scenic walk along the river. Here you will have the opportunity to enter the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world.* You will then return to London. Overnight stay in London.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on an adventure towards the Highlands. En route, you will stop by Stirling, a charming city in central Scotland where you will briefly visit a couple of historical sites and attractions such as the Wallace Monument, arguable the most important landmark of the city. You will have time to explore Stirling at your own pace, ideal for you to grab lunch.

After spending some time in Stirling’s urban and natural beauty, continue north to visit one of Scotland’s most famous exports; whisky. You will tour a working distillery where you will become acquainted with the processes and production and sample a ‘wee dram’. Overnight stay in the Highlands.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, make your way towards the west of Scotland for a visit to the beautiful and scenic Isle of Skye, known for its rugged landscapes, medieval castles and picturesque fishing villages. Take this time to appreciate Scotland in its full natural glory.

On the way back to your hotel, you will hop on a brief cruise on Loch Ness for an unforgettable experience! If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of Nessie! Overnight stay in the Highlands.

Breakfast at the hotel. Get ready to head back down to the south of Scotland to acquaint yourself with its biggest city, Glasgow. En route, stop in Fort Augustus which sits on the impressive 60 mile Caledonian Canal, halfway between Inverness and Fort William and offering spectacular views down Loch Ness.

From here, continue south through the Trossachs and Loch Lomond, the largest loch in the country. Once you have arrived in Glasgow, you will check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Glasgow.

From here, enjoy some free time at your leisure to grab a bite to eat. Next, head back to Edinburgh to embark on another city tour where you will familiarize yourself with its top sites, including the Royal Mile and more. Overnight stay in Edinburgh.
