3rd Day: Lima

5th Day: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Sacred Valley

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, an exciting day awaits you in Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to the village of Ollantaytambo to travel by train to Aguas Calientes* (Machu Picchu village) and enjoy the beautiful green mountain scenery along the way.

 

Once there, transfer by bus to the ancient Inca city of the Citadel for approximately a 2:30h visit which may take place in the morning or afternoon depending on availability. Enjoy the spectacular views of this Peruvian treasure built in the 15th century at an altitude of more than 2000 meters. 

 

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and, depending on the return train schedule, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace. Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Cuzco.

To access the citadel of Machu Picchu, you can bring a personal bag that does not exceed 40x35x20cm. In case it exceeds the indicated measurements, you will be able to keep it during the visit for a price of approx. 2$ per bag. Please note that it is forbidden to enter with plastic bottles or bags.

It is the customer's responsibility to send a copy of their passports in time (no less than 55 days before the trip) in order to guarantee the entrance to Macchu Picchu. Note that tickets are subject to a maximum capacity and availability is limited.

Please note that on the transfer from Bolivia to Chile you will have to make a stop at Hito Cajones where you will change vehicles (from a 4x4 to a 12-passenger van) until you reach the main square of San Pedro de Atacama. From there you will be transferred to the hotel.
