A taste of Tuscany & Rome

Touch down in Florence, the heart of the Italian Renaissance and Tuscany’s capital. Upon arrival you’ll take a transfer from the airport* to your hotel. Once settled, spend the remainder of the day exploring at your leisure. Overnight stay in Florence.

*A local representative will be available at the arrivals hall from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to assist you. If you arrive outside these hours, a driver will be waiting for you.

Breakfast at the hotel. After check-out, leave your luggage at reception before joining your guided tour of Florence, where an expert local guide will take you to the city’s iconic landmarks, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Uffizi Gallery (outside visit), while sharing insights into its rich art, history, and architecture.

After the guided tour, enjoy a tasting of the traditional panino al lampredotto, a classic Florentine street food made with slow-cooked, tender lampredotto on a crunchy bread roll (semelle).

In the afternoon, return to the hotel on your own to collect your luggage. At 4:00 PM, meet your driver for the transfer to Montecatini Terme (50 miles, approx. 1.5 hours), a charming town known for its glorious Art Nouveau architecture and artistic heritage. Overnight stay in Montecatini Terme.

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a visit to Lucca, where Renaissance walls, the picturesque Torre delle Ore, and Piazza dell’Anfiteatro transport you back to medieval times. Enjoy free time to explore this charming city at your own pace.

Afterward, continue to Pisa for an included lunch at a local restaurant, where you’ll sample the traditional flavors of Tuscan cuisine. Following lunch, enjoy free time to discover Pisa, with highlights including the iconic Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, and the stunning cathedral.

At the indicated time, head to the meeting point and travel to Lari, an ancient hilltop town, for a visit to one of the smallest pasta factories in Europe. Here, you’ll discover traditional pasta-making techniques and learn about the artisanal production process, and don’t miss the chance to stock up on handmade pasta.

After a full day of exploring, return to your hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to relax or continue discovering the area at your leisure. Overnight stay in Montecatini Terme.

Breakfast at the hotel. The day is yours to explore Montecatini Terme at your own pace, from its art galleries and charming cafés to a stroll through Terme Park. You could also indulge in spa treatments at the hotel or visit one of the local thermal baths. And for something truly unforgettable, we recommend joining an optional excursion to discover one of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes: Cinque Terre.* Overnight stay in Montecatini Terme.

*Optional full-day excursion to Cinque Terre: Travel by coach (87 miles, approx. 2 hours) to the stunning Cinque Terre with a local English-speaking assistant who will share insights along the way. This coastal region is known for its picturesque villages perched on steep cliffs between the sea and vineyards.

The experience includes the 5 Terre Card, allowing unlimited train travel between La Spezia and Levanto, so you can explore the villages at your own pace. Visit highlights such as Monterosso, an ancient fishing village known as "the pearl of the Cinque Terre," as well as Manarola and Riomaggiore, famous for their narrow streets and scenic harbors.

This coastal area boasts picturesque villages, perched between sea and land, clinging to steep cliffs surrounded by hills and vineyards. From April to October, a boat ride* is also included, offering a unique perspective of the coastline and unforgettable views of the villages from the water. Breakfast at the hotel. As you make your way to Rome, stop in the renowned Chianti wine region, where you’ll visit a traditional farmhouse nestled among rolling Tuscan hills. Here, indulge in a wine tasting of local varieties, perfectly paired with regional delicacies, while appreciating the countryside setting.

Continue to Siena, the historic city famed for its ochre-colored architecture. You’ll have free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll through the iconic Piazza del Campo, known for the Palio horse race, marvel at the striking Siena Cathedral, and if you’re up to it, climb the Torre del Mangia for sweeping views. There will also be time for lunch (not included), giving you the chance to taste more authentic Tuscan cuisine.

In the afternoon, meet the local representative to continue your journey to Rome (150 miles, approx. 3 hours). Sit back and relax as you travel to the Italian capital. Overnight stay in Rome.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, meet the local Tour Leader at the hotel for a guided tour of classic Rome, led by an English-speaking expert. Uncover Rome’s world-renowned charm as your guide who brings the city’s rich heritage and famous sights to life, including the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon (from the outside), Piazza Navona, and more.

Afterward, enjoy a refreshing Spritz and typical aperitivo at the bustling Campo de’ Fiori. Before your transfer back to the hotel (at approx. 6:00 PM), the afternoon is yours to discover more at your own pace. Breakfast at the hotel.* Sadly, it's time to say farewell to the idyllic landscapes and vibrant culture of Italy. At the indicated time, transfer** to the airport for your return flight back to Canada. Arrive in Canada and end your trip.***
