The Indonesian government has introduced a new requirement for all travelers visiting the island of Bali when travelling through the Indonesian archipelago. In March, the Day of Silence or 'Nyepi' is observed in Bali as part of the Hindu New Year celebrations. It is traditionally a day of meditation and therefore, no activities are allowed, everything is closed and it is not permitted to go outside on this special day.
The inter-island ferry service may be affected by adverse weather conditions. If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend taking preventive measures.
