Breakfast at the hotel. Today, visit Old Delhi including the Jama Masjid Royal Mosque and the lively Chandni Chowk Street. Ride a rickshaw around the Red Fort, the former residence of the Imperial Family.

Delhi - Jaipur

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave by road to Jaipur, known as the Pink City. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, was built in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Its architecture is a magnificent confluence of Hindu, Jain and Mughal architectural styles.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to get to know this vibrant city. In the evening light, the pink-coloured buildings exude a magical glow, complemented by the camel-drawn carts that are characteristic of the streets. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for the Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds, on your way to the Amber Fort. Explore the majestic Amber Fort with a Jeep transfer. In the interior, cross the premises of the palace Jag Mandir and the famous Sheesh Mahal, a room embedded with beautifully bright pieces of mirror.
Continue with a city tour of Jaipur including a visit to the Palace of the Maharaja, former royal residence, where a part of it has been converted into a museum. Also experience the wonder of the Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory in the world, made of marble. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Agra and along the way visit Fatehpur Sikri, an impressive historic town. Next, pass by Buland Darwaza, the largest gate in the world.
Arrive in Agra and enjoy a world of contrasting colours of red sandstone and white marble with an irresistible charm that made this the favourite city of the Mughals. Transfer to the hotel and check-in.
Afterwards visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Inside the fort, discover the picturesque Pearl Mosque. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Agra.

Agra - Delhi

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, experience the legendary splendour of the Taj Mahal, the ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river and a universal symbol of love.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his beloved wife. Afterwards, enjoy an afternoon drive back to Delhi. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Delhi.

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to head to the South! At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Kochi. Depending on your arrival time, transfer to the hotel for check-in and enjoy time at leisure to begin discovering this city.
Kochi has one of the most famous ports on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the multicultural style of its buildings. This is a city of peninsulas and islands that is considered today the commercial center of Kerala. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Kochi - Periyar

Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a complete tour of Kochi. Visit the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace)*, Kochi Harbor, St Francis Church and Fort Kochi Beach, an ideal location to saunter in a peaceful and relaxing way.
Later, begin your drive to Periyar. One of the most popular National Parks in Southern India, it’s a favorite destination due to its tranquility, peaceful surroundings and wonderful nature.
The sanctuary is renowned for its conservation efforts and its role in safeguarding the endangered Indian elephant and Bengal tiger. The uniqueness of the sanctuary extends around the banks of a huge artificial lake that was created by the damming of the Periyar River a century ago.
Although known for homing tigers and elephants, there is a wide range of animals living there. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Periyar

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a visit to a wild spice plantation. Centuries ago this place was an important trading center, where a great quantity and variety of spices were exported to all corners of the world.
You will encounter a wide variety, such as vanilla, black pepper, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom. After the walk through the plantation, you can buy as many as you want in the spice market. After the visit, enjoy free time to relax.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a shared boat ride on Periyar Lake to appreciate the surrounding nature. During this time, animals are more active and easier to spot as they come down to the lakeshore to drink and bathe. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Periyar - Alleppey - Kumarakom

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, head for Alleppey. Often referred to as the "Venice of the East," Alleppey is famous for its intricate network of picturesque backwaters, serene lagoons, and tranquil canals.
Board a houseboat or "floating house" where you’ll enjoy lunch onboard. Enjoy a fascinating canal cruise where you can observe the villages and lush vegetation on the banks. Disembark and depart by road to Kumarakom. This small village on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala is a beautiful paradise stocked with mangrove forests, green paddy fields and coconut groves, with waterways and canals adorned with white lilies.

*Due to the customs clearance rule of the government of India, if your flight stops at another city in India before arriving in Delhi, confirm at the departure desk in Canada whether you should pick up your suitcase and pass customs control at the airport where the connection is made. Remember that if the flight stops in Mumbai you will need to pick up your luggage. Keep in mind that normally this whole process takes approximately 60 minutes.
**Your internal flight details will be available no later than 15 days before departure or will be provided at your destination. You can view all your flight information and travel documents in the 'Your Trips' section of the app, and in the Trip Summary available in the 'My Bookings' section on the Exoticca website, once you've logged in.

This is a fast-paced itinerary that includes a comprehensive number of sights and activities in order to give you the most complete experience of the North and the South of India! You can expect several early morning departures and many driving miles during some days.
Important: On the last day, you may need to leave early in the morning to arrive at the Kochi airport on time for your return flight. Bear in mind that it is around 53 miles away from Kumarakom (over 2 hours away).
Note: We would like to inform you that some hotels may offer only vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. This is a common practice in certain establishments and is part of the local culinary experience they provide. If you have any special dietary preferences, we recommend informing the hotel staff in advance so they can accommodate your needs accordingly.
