*Optional Baru Volcano Excursion: Leave at approx. 4:00-4:30 a.m. to climb the iconic Baru Volcano, the highest peak in Panama, in a 4x4 Jeep! Venture through this challenging terrain, and look out for birds and other wildlife along the way as you travel through the highland region of Chiriquí. When you reach the summit, enjoy some light snacks and spectacular views; on a clear day, you can see both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Return to Boquete.

Breakfast at the hotel, before setting off on an unforgettable boat excursion to the Chiriqui National Marine Park. Discover the incredible beaches, wildlife and idyllic natural environment. As you cruise through the Gulf of Chiriquí be on the lookout for monkeys, dolphins and birdlife.

After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a fascinating insight into the local crafts as you visit the village of Horconcitos, where the finest horse saddles in Panama are produced. Learn all about the production of these important leather goods and the significance of horse-riding in the local culture.

Here, horse saddles are produced in the traditional way using wooden frames and leather. There's only one way to really appreciate the quality of these handmade saddles, so after learning about the production process enjoy a horse-riding experience using one of the finely made local saddles.
