Northern expedition: Lofoten & Tromsø

Breakfast at the hotel.  As you journey from Harstad to Svolvær, prepare for a breathtaking exploration of the Lofoten Islands! Finally, arrive in Svolvær, the vibrant heart of the Lofoten archipelago. Take in the enchanting surroundings and embark on a fascinating guided walking tour. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax or explore at your leisure. We also recommend joining our optional activities: an evening motorboat safari* and a Northern Lights & Evening Cruise**. If the weather allows, we'll launch an underwater drone while our guides look for the stunning Northern Lights. We'll also make a stop at Henningsvær before continuing our journey into Vestfjorden!

Visit the Lofotr Museum to learn about Viking history and culture. Along the way, stop at the charming Bøstad Museum, the picturesque villages of Leknes and Reine, and the famous Ramberg Beach*, celebrated for its breathtaking scenery. Each stop provides unique insights and photo opportunities for a memorable day in the heart of Lofoten. Overnight stay in Svolvær.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, participate in the rich culture of the Sami people with a visit to a traditional farm in Sortland. Learn about their customs, reindeer herding, and way of life. After your cultural experience, board a ferry from Fiskebøl to Melbu, where stunning coastal views await.

Upon arrival in Harstad, take time to settle in and explore this charming town. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, soaking in the beauty and culture of your surroundings! Overnight stay in Harstad.

This morning, embark on a scenic ferry ride from Harstad to Tromsø, keeping in mind that this is a public transportation service, so schedules may vary or be subject to cancellation without notice. Once you arrive in Tromsø, join your tour leader for an engaging walking tour of this vibrant city, rich in history and culture.

After that, you’ll have some free time to explore at your own pace or join some exciting optional activities, like the Evening Snowshoe Hike at Fjellheisen* or the Summer Lights on Mount Storsteinen & Fjellheisen Gondola Ride**. Overnight stay in Tromso.

**Summer Lights on Mount Storsteinen & Fjellheisen Gondola Ride: Take the cable car up to Mount Storsteinen for spectacular panoramic vistas of Tromsø. Snap incredible photos before making your descent down the Sherpatrappa, a stone staircase featuring around 1,200 steps and a 250-meter elevation change.
