Mandatory tips: Mandatory tips of 60 USD per person are not included in the price and must be paid at the destination by either Cash or Alipay. Payment can also be done by GBP / CAD / EUR / AUD and the guide will collect your currency's equivalent of 60 USD following the exchange rate of the moment. Credit card will not be accepted. Visa Requirements: The requirement to obtain a visa to enter China has been waived for arrivals up to December 31, 2026, for stays of less than 30 days. This new regulation applies only under these specific conditions and for holders of UK passports. If you are traveling with a non-British passport or arriving after December 31, 2026, you must apply for a visa.

Invitation letter: Although British citizens are currently exempt from needing a visa to enter China, an Invitation letter will be sent to all bookings 60 days prior to departure. This document is intended for customers who do need to apply for a visa (those with non-British passports or arrivals from 2027 onwards). For this reason, it is crucial that all names and details provided to Exoticca match your passport exactly.

The cost of a Chinese Visa can range from 85 to 150 GBP / person depending on added assistance services, express delivery upgrades, etc. It usually takes around 10 days to get a visa approval.

MANDATORY: Please send copies of the passports of all passengers to customers@exoticca.com  once you have booked your trip in order for us to process your Chinese Visa Invitation Letter. In the case that your passport number changes between the time of booking and the date of departure, you are required to carry both passports to ensure a smooth check-in process for any pre-purchased services.

Please be advised that it is the traveler's responsibility to follow-up and be aware of any changes in either Visa requirements or entry conditions.

*Your internal flight details will be available no later than 15 days before departure or will be provided at your destination. You can view all your flight information and travel documents in the 'Your Trips' section of the app, and in the Trip Summary available in the 'My Bookings' section on the Exoticca website, once you've logged in.

Maximum checked baggage limit on internal flights is 20kg, cabin handbag is included on standard size and weight.

**We cannot guarantee that you and your travel companions will be allocated seats together on the train. Some train journeys and flights might be early in the morning in order to successfully follow the schedule.

**High-speed train routes may not be direct and may have intermediate stops. Tickets purchased will be Class 2.

Bullet train Luggage Allowance: adults 20kg & children 10 kg.

On train journeys within China, aerosol sprays are limited to a maximum of 100 ml per container.

In China, power banks must be certified under the CCC (China Compulsory Certification) standard to be carried on trains and domestic flights.

***If you book a triple room, you will enjoy this type of accommodation in all cities except Shanghai, where you will have two separate rooms.

The hotels stated in the letter of invitation are not definitive; the hotels will be confirmed between 45 and 30 days before departure.

****The maximum waiting time for airport transfers will be 120 minutes.

Foreign eSIMs may experience connectivity issues or access restrictions in China. We therefore recommend purchasing a local SIM card with a pre-configured VPN from the guide upon arrival.

Remember to download your e-ticket to confirm the times of your flights and to complete online check-in using the airline’s website, or directly at the check-in desk at the airport.

Accommodation at the hotels is as indicated. In the event of any changes to accommodation, they will always be of the same, or a higher category. The category of hotels is not standardized across all countries in the world. For this reason, the criteria may differ depending on the destination country's own standards.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, for safety reasons or for any other reasons deemed appropriate, the order and duration of the excursions included in the itinerary may be changed or cancelled without prior notice.

If you book a triple room, you will enjoy this type of accommodation in all cities except Shanghai, where you will have two separate rooms.

If you have reduced mobility, require the use of a wheelchair, or you would prefer this tour to be a private experience for you and your group, you must contact our Experts at +44 20 8068 3176 before booking to ensure that your needs can be met.

While on the road, it is highly unlikely that the vehicle will be equipped with wifi or bathroom facilities, though rest stops will be made for long trips. We recommend purchasing a new SIM card at the airport or placing an e-SIM before travel to guarantee internet connection.
