Additional information

What's not included

Entrances, drinks, tips and any other services not mentioned in what's included.

Luggage handlers approx. $10 per person for the whole stay.

Tips approx. $35 per person for the whole stay.

*Domestic flights have a baggage allowance of 23 kg and 8 kg in the cabin. For our regular Silk Road program, we will have a block of 12 seats in each departure for the Tashkent-Urgench flight, with blocks available until 46 days before the flight, any reservation beyond this date will be subject to availability at the time of booking.

Like all airlines, Uzbekistan Airways allows up to 3 incorrect letters in the name, that is why we ask you to send us the passenger information as it appears in the passport or a copy of it. In the event that a passenger's name is incorrect, we will have to cancel the ticket with a penalty of 20 USD and issue a new ticket, subject to availability.

For the departures of September 9 and September 30, 2025, the domestic flight from Tashkent to Urgench will take place on Wednesday afternoon instead of Thursday morning, as originally stated in the itinerary. This change will not affect the included activities or services.

**Due to new regulations, train tickets must be nominative, that is why we require the passenger's information as it appears in their passport or copy of it, at least 62 days before the train operation. These tickets are non-refundable (25 USD per person).

In the event that the passengers information is incorrect, we will have to cancel said train ticket with full penalty and rebook a new train ticket subject to availability at the time of rebooking, applying the additional charge for the new ticket.

***There are practically no TRIPLE rooms in Uzbekistan; it is always double rooms (double bed) with an extra bed or sofa, so we do not recommend using them for 3 adults.

Hotels in Uzbekistan are very modest; the quality of their construction is not to the standard of Western hotels. They are not equipped with elevators.

Hotel classification is based on Uzbekistani standards - most of the hotels are 80% private without Western qualification standards.

Copies of passports for train/plane tickets must be presented with the reservation. Passport must be valid for 6 months prior to expiration date.

The itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the airlines and railroad lines.

Remember to download your e-ticket to confirm the times of your flights and to complete online check-in using the airline’s website, or directly at the check-in desk at the airport.

Accommodation at the hotels is as indicated. In the event of any changes to accommodation, they will always be of the same, or a higher category. The category of hotels is not standardized across all countries in the world. For this reason, the criteria may differ depending on the destination country's own standards.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, for safety reasons or for any other reasons deemed appropriate, the order and duration of the excursions included in the itinerary may be changed or cancelled without prior notice.

If you have reduced mobility, require the use of a wheelchair, or you would prefer this tour to be a private experience for you and your group, you must contact our Experts at +44 20 8068 3176 before booking to ensure that your needs can be met.

While on the road, it is highly unlikely that the vehicle will be equipped with wifi or bathroom facilities, though rest stops will be made for long trips. We recommend purchasing a new SIM card at the airport or placing an e-SIM before travel to guarantee internet connection.
