Itinerary
Land in Florence before being whisked away to the picturesque town of Montecatini Terme, a spa town famous for its healing waters and beautiful architecture. Get to know the surrounding Tuscan countryside, then return to Florence to spend a few days touring Italy’s Renaissance capital.
1st Day: UK/Ireland - Florence - Montecatini Terme
It's time to discover the treasures of Tuscany! Pack your bags and head to your departure airport, ready for a flight to Florence.* Land at the Florence airport and take an included transfer to your four-star hotel in Montecatini Terme (about 40 km away). This charming spa town and UNESCO Heritage Site in the heart of Tuscany makes a great base to explore the whole region, being close to Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and Vinci (the birthplace of Leonardo!).
Arrive at the hotel for check-in and spend the rest of the day exploring Montecatini Terme at your own pace. Admire elegant Belle Epoque architecture, feeling the legacy of Europe’s aristocracy who frequented this town’s healing springs for centuries. Enjoy dinner at one of Montecatini Terme’s delicious restaurants, then return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
