After breakfast at the hotel self-transfer* to the train station to catch a train to Vienna, a journey of around 5.5 hours. Travel through the beautiful landscapes of Bohemia and Moravia towards Austria and its capital, Vienna. Arrive in Vienna, an imperial city famed for its artistic legacy and for being the home town of Mozart and Beethoven. Self-transfer* to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring at your leisure. We recommend heading to the historic centre to enjoy the charming atmosphere. During the summer the riverbanks come alive with lively bars and restaurants, so be sure to check this out if the weather is pleasant. Overnight stay in Vienna.

Breakfast at the hotel. Discover the 'City of Dreams' today on a Vienna city tour. Take the Ringstrasse ring road to see some of the capital's most important buildings including the State Opera House, the Museums of Art History and Natural History, the Museumquartier, the Imperial Palace (the former winter residence of the Emperor), the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Vienna at your leisure. Alternatively, you can opt to enjoy a classical music concert*, a must-do activity while in the city! Overnight stay in Vienna.

Breakfast at the hotel. Catch a train this morning to travel to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, a journey of around 2 hours 50 minutes. After enjoying the changing landscapes of the Danube Delta arrive in Budapest and self-transfer* to the hotel. The city is famously divided in two by the River Danube Buda and Pest, each with its own distinctive atmosphere. Spend the afternoon at your leisure. Alternatively, take part in our optional cruise** along the Danube River.  Overnight stay in Budapest.

**Optional Danube River Cruise from Budapest: Embark on a river cruise of the Danube and enjoy architectural views of the city from a different perspective. From the Parliament, to the many  bridges and even the Royal Palace Walls, complete this romantic sail across the city with a glass of champagne.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a fantastic panoramic guided tour of the beautiful city of Budapest. Start the tour at Heroes' Square, the largest and most impressive square in the city and emblem of the Golden Age of Pest. Pass by the spectacular neo-Renaissance theater of the National Opera and the imposing Budapest Parliament, one of the tallest and most iconic buildings in the city. 

Arrive at the banks of the mighty Danube, where you can appreciate a spectacular panoramic view of the part of Buda, the former capital of Hungary until unification in 1873. See the famous Castle Hill, the Buda Castle and the amazing neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque architecture of the Fisherman's Bastion are located. Finally, enjoy a magnificent view of the oldest and most photographed bridge in the city, the glorious Chain Bridge. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you see fit. *Optional Buda City Tour: Embark on a charming two-hour tour of historic Buda. Start your adventure in the picturesque Castle District, where you can explore the majestic Matthias Church and the iconic Fisherman’s Bastion. Then, marvel at the panoramic views from Gellért Hill. The tour begins at the impressive Chain Bridge, passes by the imposing Parliament, and crosses the majestic Danube into Buda. Afterward, return to the city center to conclude your journey on the vibrant pedestrian street Váci utca, renowned for its lively atmosphere and shops.
