How Exoticca became a trusted partner in the global travel market
“The team is amazing to deal with.” “I love the affordable pricing”. “Exoticca is on my shortlist of ‘go-to’ operators.” Just a few of the many reasons why Travel Advisors love working with Exoticca.
The past few years have been an exciting time for our B2B operations, hitting big milestones in the global travel market, such as launching in Australia and Mexico in 2024. And through it all, it’s our growing network of advisors and partners that’s been at the heart of our success.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Barcelona, Exoticca now works with over 50,000 Travel Advisors worldwide. And since expanding into resellers in 2017, we’ve built partnerships with major companies, including Secret Escapes and Despegar.
From entering new markets to making booking easier for advisors, let’s take a look at some of the things that have shaped Exoticca’s B2B story so far.
Continuing to build connections around the world
Whether it’s accreditation by peak industry bodies or our annual roadshow touring the US and Canada, we’ve been hard at work strengthening relationships at every step.
Meeting the highest standards
United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA)
Becoming a member of USTOA further cemented our place as a reliable, trustworthy tour operator offering high-quality travel experiences, giving our reputation for making travel dreams come true an official nod. Exoticca CEO Pere Valles said, “USTOA’s dedication to quality and innovation aligns seamlessly with our vision of making dream trips more accessible and convenient for travellers worldwide.”
Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO)
Exoticca has been registered with TICO since June 2023, requiring compliance with Ontario’s Travel Industry Act rules. It gives customers added protection and potential access to the TICO Compensation Fund.
Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL)
Exoticca’s UK flight-inclusive trips are ATOL-protected, serving as an essential mark of trust for customers and partners.
Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation (TIPTO)
Joining TIPTO in 2024 was an important step in growing Exoticca’s presence in the UK and Ireland. TIPTO Chairman Nick Hughes described us as “a great addition to our supplier portfolio, bringing a new dynamic to our already strong operator base with its NextGen setup.” It was a clear sign that advisors in these markets are welcoming us with open arms.
Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA)
Shortly after launching in Australia, we also announced our official accreditation by ATIA in 2025. Dennis Basham, former Managing Director of Exoticca Australia, said, “This recognition strengthens our credibility in the Australian market and reflects our dedication to building long-term relationships with local Travel Advisors and customers.”
Council of Australian Touring Operators (CATO)
As well as earning CATO accreditation, Exoticca joined the respected trade association’s Touring Academy. Dennis Basham said this “demonstrates our commitment to responsible growth in the Australian market and highlights our focus on building strong partnerships with Travel Advisors through education and support.”
Collaboration with tourism boards
To boost our global presence, we’ve also partnered with tourism boards including the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), PROMPERÚ, Turismo de Portugal, and TURESPAÑA, as well as major airlines such as TAP Portugal, SATA, and Emirates.
Exoticca’s Annual Fall Fling
2025 marks Exoticca’s third Annual Fall Fling in Canada and its second in the US. So, what is it exactly? It’s our annual roadshow, where thousands of Travel Advisors come together each year to celebrate success. Held at multiple locations throughout the fall season, it’s our series of exclusive events featuring special guest speakers, prize giveaways, networking opportunities, exquisite meals, and more!
Supporting Travel Advisors along the way
“Just a few clicks” is a phrase that comes up often when talking about our booking process, and this focus on simplicity and efficiency has shaped our entire approach to B2B. By helping Travel Advisors maximize their earnings with Exoticca while delivering thoughtfully planned travel experiences to their customers, the exclusive benefits of working with us speak for themselves:
Increased earnings
Advisors earn commission on all trip components, including air, land, taxes, and fees.
Dedicated support
Expert assistance via phone, email, or chat is provided whenever they need it.
Personalized training
Tailored sessions to help advisors make the most of Exoticca’s offerings.
Effortless booking
Point-and-click technology: Makes on-the-spot bookings through the Advisor Portal simple and fast.
48-hour price lock: Freezes the price of the trip, giving customers time to book without losing a great deal.
Exoticca Private Label (EPL): Allows advisors to create a branded Exoticca page to showcase our offerings, all while maintaining their own brand identity.
Recognised by millions
We must be doing something right for travellers. Being named a 2025 Travellers’ Choice winner says it all. Reviews from millions of travellers place us in the top 10% worldwide.
Of course, we couldn’t do any of it without the hard-working advisors. Check out our video celebrating Travel Advisor Day 2025!
What’s next for Exoticca’s B2B operations?
While continuing to offer experiences that have adventurers saying, “Exoticca is our go-to travel company,” we’re also focused on taking our B2B operations onwards and upwards. How are we doing that? Constant improvement.
We’re launching our new Advisor Portal, rolling out improvements step by step. For example, advisors could previously add post-tour nights. Now they can also add pre-tour nights. From the new Dashboard to a new Bookings section, we want to continue making the booking experience for both advisors and their customers as flexible and seamless as possible.
