4th Day: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, an exciting day awaits you in Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to the village of Ollantaytambo to travel by train* to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village) and enjoy the beautiful green mountain scenery along the way.

Once there, transfer by bus to the ancient Inca city of the Citadel for approximately a 2:30h visit which may take place in the morning or afternoon depending on availability. Enjoy the spectacular views of this Peruvian treasure built in the 15th century at an altitude of more than 2000 meters. 

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and, depending on the return train schedule, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace. Travel by train back to Ollantaytambo, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Sacred Valley.

12th Day: Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, set off on a full-day discovery of this magical island. Follow in the footsteps of the first King of the island, Ariki Hotu Matua. Visit several archeological sites located in the southern part of the island: Akahanga, Rano Raraku and Ahu Tongariki. These are key foundational places in the Rapa Nui culture, believed to be the place where the island's original settlers arrived. Close the first part of the tour with time for lunch.

Resume the tour visiting Te Pito Kura, known as the navel of the world. This Moai is the biggest sculpture ever to have been lifted and transported from the Rano Raraku quarry. Our last steps are reserved for Anakena, said to be the beach where the first king of Easter Island disembarked. End the tour here, relaxing and enjoying its white sands and crystal clear waters. 13th Day: Easter Island

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, discover the cliffs of the Rano Kau volcano and the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the BirdMan competition (Tangata – manu) used to be celebrated. This fresh water crater has a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean and of the interior of the volcano, and the spiritual village has a path that takes visitors past restored houses, and to its cave art and petroglyphs. Next, head out towards Vinapu. This mysterious ceremonial center has big slabs built out of basalt  (volcanic rock) that fit perfectly on the back of its ahu. End the tour with an open invitation to learn  more about the roots of the local people.
